Everything
Beds too high for a short person
Lovely area
Great location, kind staff and cute decor
Beds were not very comfortable
bed was great
location was perfect
water was almost impossible to turn on in the shower
The room is really nice remodeled and fresh and the scenery around was beautiful to look at and all the staff was really nice.
The parking is hard especially if you have a bigger suv or truck but there’s not much they can do for that it’s not their fault and then the beds are really noisy sleeping with twin infants I couldn’t move or else they would wake up and then the chair in our room felt like it was going to break soon but it was comfortable to sit in.
I wanted to stay in the town of Occidental, as it was close to the Gravenstein Apple Fair and a friend's house. I thought the pool would be a nice feature, which was clean but not that warm. The photos looked like it would be a nice, comfortable room. They allow dogs.
I didn't like that I called the property and asked for a ground-floor room for my family and service dog. Apparently, the man I talked to did not relay that information, and when I checked in, the woman at the front desk was very nice but could not accommodate us, saying we needed to call (which I did), and she had no record of our request. So, we ended up having to go up and down the stairs, not ideal, and had I known, I would never have booked here. I also didn't like how uncomfortable the bed was, and for the space of the room, only having one tiny table and one small dresser was weird, and the bathroom realllllly needs a remodel. I've stayed at nicer Motels than this, and the only reason it's so highly priced is likely because of the pool and the location (this is the only motel in the town). It is NOT quiet. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything.
Location and cleanliness
It had the microwave on the bathroom counter and the mini frig on the bathroom floor. Another table in the bedroom along the wall could have alleviated all that. Also, no fault of the hotel but it was loud with patrons on our last night there.
Location good clean nice to have frig microwave and coffee maker reception staff nice and housekeeping staff responsive.
Mattress not comfortable and the sound proofing not good-we were downstairs and had to deal with the upstairs people making lots of noise going back and forth-needs to be better insulated
The location and room was really great. All very comfortable and quiet. Stacy was friendly and most helpful in providing local info at check in. Have stayed here previously and hope to again!
Can't think of anything.
The staff and location was wonderful.
We had a downstairs room and the people upstairs were walking VERY loudly for At least an hour.
The location was perfect. The town and the hotel were nice and quiet and the service was AMAZING! Ryder and Brian were so hospitable and helpful-Ryder even helped us unload the car!!! What a nice guy. We had a perfect room and we were able to get to the beach in under a half hour. We had a wonderful stay.
The town's restaurants could have stayed open until 9:00 instead of 8:00. A bit early for a Saturday night.
The location was great! Occidental is a darling town! We were 20 minutes from the coast which is what we were looking for. Bed was comfy and room was quiet!
Everything was as we expected. It's an older Inn, so we weren't looking for anything super fancy. Really no complaints.
The staff was very communicative on how to check in after hours. Very easy process.
Nice staff, clean room.
Lots of noise from upstairs.
This charming lodge nestled in the pines was clean, comfortable and had an adorable view of the old chapel and cute Occidental scene. The owner/concierge was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We loved this awesome hotel!
