GOOD ROOM AT A GOOD PRICE
Pros:

Room was perfectly acceptable (room 210) - ensuite was clean, nice mirror in main room, comfy bed with a good supply of teas/coffees. Good location opposite Eastbourne Pier.
Only negative is a nasty stain on the wall 0n the right hand side of the bed - looks like someone has puked against the wall.

Pros:

Unfortunately, this felt more like a house of multiple occupancy than a hotel. After booking i received an email to say no parking permits available and that the bar/restaurant were closed. I sent an email asking what we were supposed to do for parking and a question about their reception hours as another guests review stated these were limited. I didn't get a response. We were given a room that looked like someone was still in occupancy so after a complaint we were given another room. the manager told me that they had just bought the hotel but that felt a bit weak. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Pros:

Very dated hotel, apparently under new management. No parking, had to pay £30 in the hotel across the road or pay £9 perday NCP a good walk away.
Only saw 1 person all the time i was there. This person had zero personality! No food available at all due to no staff for the kitchen

Single sea-view room
Pros:

I stayed in a single sea-view room. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Good Wi-Fi. Lovely view of the pier and beach. The shower was hot and powerful. Unfortunately, the room and en-suite were not very clean, it was very dusty and there were bits on the carpet. The mug/spoon was still dirty from previous guest. The en-suite really needed a deep clean and the toilet had been left dirty in the bowl although it had a paper slip on the toilet seat to say it had been cleaned.
Parked in the local NCP for £7.95 per 24 hours which was only a 5-min walk to the hotel and straightforward (is cheaper if you download the app before you park). I had received an email from the hotel before my stay with the parking permit instructions (subject to availability) however they do not have permits at all at the moment as they have not been granted by the council yet. Found it a little confusing - the email was not needed as it wouldn't have been an option to have a permit and I wasted half an hour trying to find a space in the permit zone to then be told they did not have any to give out anyway! No restaurant for breakfast but there was a Wetherspoons a short walk away so was not an issue. Understand it has recently been taken over so may explain these few issues.

Average Services
Pros:

My experience of my stay at Pier Hotel would be average. I paid £50 per night for three nights. Hotel rooms were average, quite congested to walk.

Firstly, I was annoyed of the services provided. I understand the management was new and they purchased the hotel few days ago, the wifi router in my room wasn’t working. Things were not checked before the arrival of the guest. They did offer me another room on my Day 2 which I denied, because one day stay left only.

Secondly, no room service at all. We left rooms in a good condition, and we expected the basic services to be done when we arrive back to the room. Basic like; emptying the bin, replacing the laundry, providing the with toiletries because they get used every day. We always had to ask for the services, which is quite unusual for the hotels.
Overall, average stay at the hotel.
The best things about the hotel is, it is right in front of the Pier and Seafront. This is the only attractive and positive things about Pier Hotel.

Pros:

The main area in the room was good; however, the bathroom needs some attention - loose tap, musty smell and rust in places.

Pros:

Fairly average hotel. Bed was really hard and uncomfortable. Often had no hot water late in the evenings. Needs improvement for sure but was quite a cheap stay.

Pros:

The property as just been taken over by new owners. The hotel manager is very polite and made you feel welcome. The room we stayed in was clean and adequate for me and my wife. The property has no catering facilities or bar so it is room only which did not bother us as there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars around the hotel. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Pros:

The room did not have 2 double beds as stated. Could not connect to the internet. There were no parking concessions, breakfast or drinks as stated at the time of booking and in an email after booking. Unfriendly owner and offered no apology for any of the things mentioned above.

Pros:

When we arrived it was locked and didn’t open till 14.00. We checked in only to find it was under new management. There was no Restaurant or Bar, The front desk was only open to check people in. They gave me a fob to open the front door. The room was clean and well fitted, but we felt that it seem more like a Hostel then a Hotel. Not really impressed, and not what was advertised on Expedia. We spoke to another couple who had also booked through who felt the same. Probably won’t book it again.
