I’ve stayed here probably 5 times now, over the course of 10 years. Fantastic location, love that they have a parking lot. This visit, the room was a little small, although it’s my first stay where I had a friend in the same room so maybe that’s why.
Staff is always helpful and friendly. And walkability is the best part of the location. Will stay again for sure!
The location and the size of the hotel. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas in your room so you can go to the beach anytime. You’re not at the mercy of the companies that rent them on the beach. It is a newly renovated hotel and quite lovely.
This is our third time staying at the Sheldon Hotel, and we truly love almost everything about it. The staff has always been wonderful, and the location is hard to beat. Unfortunately, the one issue that continues to affect our stay is the constant loud music coming from Andias Yogurt Shop. If you look at the picture of the front of the building, it’s just right of the front door semi attached to the Sheldon building.
Your staff mentioned that there have been multiple complaints from guests about the noise, yet the situation does not appear to have improved.
I noticed that the loud speaker is mounted just a few inches from the wall of the Sheldon and directly below the guest room windows. If turning the music off isn’t an option, perhaps the speaker could be relocated to the front of the yogurt shop. The yogurt building itself might then help block some of the sound from traveling directly into the hotel’s walls and guest rooms.
We truly enjoy staying at the Sheldon and would hate to stay somewhere else because of this one issue. However, if the noise continues, we may have to consider a quieter hotel for future visit.
