We are already planning our next trip back to the hotel Sheldon. We love it.
Pros:

The location is perfect. When you walk outside the front door of the hotel, you are on the beach. The area is bustling with people, including families and people of all ages. It’s lively, but not too much. It seems very safe, as the police are frequently on patrol and very courteous. There are lots of restaurants on the beach that are OK but the best restaurants are just behind the hotel a couple of blocks on the bay area side. Those restaurants are busy, lively but also quiet and you have the bay view, which is lovely. So there’s a nice balance to the entire location. 
The hotel provides two chairs and an umbrella, which is a very nice perk.
The hotel manager is very nice and accommodating to our needs. We really appreciated this about him. 

Cons:

This is the second time we have stayed here because we really really like this hotel. The first time was this time last year and they were undergoing a nice renovation. We understood the noise, but also wanted to come back when it was done. The door to the room requires some noise/weatherstripping. It lets in a lot of light we like a dark room when we sleep. I discussed this with the hotel manager, and he is going to address it. Also, all of the windows are locked, including the bathroom window. There is no ventilation to the bathroom. I meant to mention this to the Hotel manager. This building is very very old so it has some challenges. We had three devices we needed to charge and had to charge them them in three different places. Recommend you bring your own charge strip.

Cons:

The bathrooms were incredibly small and there was no place to put any product as it was just a trough sink. Also, there were no luggage racks to put your luggage out so it had to be put on the bed or the floor.

Great as always!
Pros:

My 4th stay here and it never disappoints. Great staff. One of the best locations anywhere on Hollywood Beach. Hotel is newly remodeled and it’s beautiful.

Lovely hotel on the beach promenade with plenty of options within walking distance
Pros:

Location, clean and fresh reception and room, fresh coffee available at all times, beach chairs.

Cons:

The double bed is rather small for 2 adults - for this I do not give 10/10. We had 2 double beds and we were 3 adults. It was ok for our short stay.

Disappointing
Pros:

Location on the sand; AC worked very well. Large closet.

Cons:

In ocean front rooms, windows didn’t open at all so couldn’t hear or smell the ocean. Rooms were antiseptic- all white walls, no art on walls, harsh lighting. Bathroom sink area has very little counter space. Room had odd smell.

Cons:

The building is old though, so are some of the things inside. Maybe they have more upgraded rooms, mine was old, I could feel the springs on the mattress.
