Great location for the hospital with many shops and cafes close by but the hotel needs an upgrade
Pros:

Close to the John Radcliffe Hospital to visit a relative in there. Room was comfortable enough with own bathroom and fairly quiet given it is situated on a busy main road.

Cons:

Place needs an upgrade! Stairs creak and some move, rooms and hallways haven't been painted in years, front of hotel needs weeding and maintaining, hardly ever any staff present at reception.

Decent for a very short stay in Headington, could be better maintained and cleaned
Pros:

Friendly receptionist who helped me to get my heavy luggage to the room, and kept it for me for a few hours after I checked out. The fan in the room is a very good plus in the summertime. Good location.

Cons:

There were hairs in the plughole of my bathtub, which was very unpleasant. The curtains were very thin, so the room gets light after 5 am in the summer and makes it hard to sleep. The place is considerably old in general.

Reasonable hotel spoiled by noisy pub next door
Pros:

Good sized room, reasonably well equipped and comfortable.

Cons:

Decor very dated, a bit tatty and very tired. The pub next door had loud music blaring until God knows what hour. I didn't have earplugs and it was impossible to sleep while it was playing.

It’s a great stay
Pros:

Very close to all the shops and the hospital
And what next to pub and restaurant?

Cons:

It wasn’t their fault more the pub behind the hotel, because it was so hot we had the window open and the staff at the end of the shift in the pub next door were drinking till 12 o’clock, in the pub garden, laughing and screaming
