It had parking and was well located
Very dated and poorly maintained.
Very close to all the shops and the hospital
And what next to pub and restaurant?
It wasn’t their fault more the pub behind the hotel, because it was so hot we had the window open and the staff at the end of the shift in the pub next door were drinking till 12 o’clock, in the pub garden, laughing and screaming
We did not stay at this hotel due to the previous review’s regarding the bed bugs. I suffer badly with allergies and we decided not to take the risk. I only wish I have read the reviews before booking as I knew I would not have got a refund, a lesson well learned, I will in future always read the reviews before booking. We ended up at the Travel lodge on Abingdon Road, it was very clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff
Clean and quiet room, free parking
Nothing to really complain. Furnitures are bit old, and new hangers for warderobe needed.
Everything was well looked after and clean.
None
Easy for the shopping centre and park walk
Could have done with the bedding being warmer not so thin covers
Clean and quiet
Nothing
No breakfast offered, staff phoned before arrival to say they had a private function and they’d leave the keys in a key safe, hotel has been rebranded a curry restaurant, so no sign indicating the hotel, little confusing after arriving, went round the block twice…. Pleasant quite rooms
Hotel has been rebranded very little signage indicating the hotel listed especially arriving after 9.30pm. Private function at the time so no evening bar or food.
Proximity to hospital was excellent and the gentleman who booked us is was very helpful, letting us park well in to the afternoon.
Good size and clean room.
The location was convenient.
The place was tatty, dating back to the 1970s, and nothing much seems to have changed since then. When we checked in (through an entrance shared with a restaurant) the reception was absolutely filthy.
Although the person at the reception (probably the proprietor) was cordial and helpful, he insisted on carrying my small case up the stairs to the room because, as he said, "you're an old man" :).
