The staff was very friendly, accomdating, and helpful. The desk staff went out of their way to recommend restaurants and even helped us navigate our route to our meeting point we had for a scheduled tour the next day.
The room had a mold/mildew smell. I brushed it off because it's typical for a humid area. But there were visible mildew spots on the ceiling of the room. The tile floors in the rooms were quite slippery when you entered, too. Again, from all the moisture coming in from under the door.
Other than that, the bed was comfy, and the room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was very clean and spacious also.
The room was spacious and cool during the hot weather. The staff were always friendly and welcoming and we especially liked Monica who works in the restaurant. The location of the hotel is just off of Bourbon Street so we were 5 minutes to bus, coach, and street car transportation.
On arrival I had to pay $600 as a 'holding fee' in case we had breakfast or room service. I was not told about this in advance. Not a problem, however, on checkout we were not given a itemised bill and were just told that some money would be refunded.
Excellent location nice staff
Room wasn't cleaned every day or would forget to empty trash refill coffee Drain was clogged and air vent extremely dirty. Bar staff was lazy and prices $$$. Breakfast ok.
We had to switch hotels from the Bourbon Orleans hotel to Hotel Mazarin after one night into our 5 might stay. The staff at Hotel Mazarin was so very nice and helpful. Everyone was professional and friendly. We did not want fir anything.
Nothing. Our stay was amazing.
The location is right in the heart of the French Quarter and the balcony rooms are a cool experience. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities are decent.
The rooms aren’t soundproofed so you can hear the bars of Bourbon Street late into the night and early morning street cleaning etc.
The hotel is well appointed & In a Good location The rooms were classically furnished but very noisy ( I did ask for quiet rooms when I booked -a long time ago ! What made it even louder was the collapse of the canopy over the courtyard —-which sounded like a bomb going off !
Giving us quieter rooms on the other side of the building g -after all I booked a long time ago …
Stacy made our entire experience 5 star!!! Her recommendations were spot on but most of all her customer was above and beyond. Colleen was very helpful as well. Perfect location for the wedding we were attending at the Latrobe
Hotel Mazarin is convenient to everything in the Quarter. The courtyard was a nice retreat. The breakfast offered was delicious & the staff there were caring & attentive.
Our room smelled of mold & mildew. We had asked to be moved from the first room we were assigned because it was right next to the elevator which was deafening but the new room, while much quieter, reeked. It definitely detracted from our enjoyment of the hotel. The staff did not educate us on the use of the elevator, we had to learn from our fellow travelers. The hotel has beautiful bones & could have been wonderful if not for these issues.
Everything
Nothing to dislike
Property was in a great location and within walking distance to everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was charming and has a pretty courtyard.
The bathroom was a little small-it got pretty steamy after taking a shower and there was no fan. Water pressure was great!
Historic property in the heart of the French quarter. Courtyard rooms were nicely furnished and very quiet. The location is stellar, steps away from Bourbon St and many excellent restaurants! And the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Secure valet parking available across the street. I would definitely stay here again.
Good hotel in a great area.
Poor breakfast and I think a receptionist could do with some retraining.
location, quieter than expected since it was on the french quarter
