Very beautiful property.
The room we had smelled heavily of mold and dust.
Super dog friendly
Nothing
Clean room with big windows and nice heavy drapes to block light when wanted. The room was quiet for the most part. No microwave but the room had a refrigerator and a coffee machine w/ Starbucks coffee. Room service is available for a fee and, if I remember correctly, a 24% gratuity. But the menu prices were in line with regular in person dining. The bed was comfortable with 4 full size down like material pillows. On site parking was expensive, but street parking is usually available within a couple blocks. The parking garage right across the street is for the Theater patrons only.
Cost of a parking pass for the onsite parking lot.
Loved it
Nothing
It's a beautiful building in a convenient area of downtown omaha
Parking is the worst part. They offer parking for 32$ (I can't remember if it was per day or total for stay, I was only there one night regardless), there's street parking and a parking garage across the street.
Not bad enough to not stay there, but good to know.
Friendly staff
Need more towels in the room
Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff
Just a little dated. Very thin walls.
The beds were very comfortable and the staff was pleasant.
Some paint could use touching up around the hotel. The shower had a step up which was a little unnerving.
Beautiful arquitecture
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. My experience at Olive & Ira's (the attached restaurant) was just so, aside from one hiccup. Most service staff were helpful, attentive, and were very pleasant. I had an interaction with Monique who was a bit less so - I arrived at the Saturday brunch service, behind 3 customers who had clearly been told to wait. Monique was cleaning glassware behind the bar counter, and after a few minutes, she told me to take a seat in front, they were just resetting and I'd get a table 'in a little while.' The few customers before me had already been told this, including one man who had informed me later that he had been waiting 'around thirty minutes.'
While that may have been an exaggeration, all three of these customers thought this wait to be too long or vague enough to take their business elsewhere. Monique used language like 'in a little while,' 'in a bit,' and 'it'll be a little bit' which at the time felt dismissive and inattentive to the waiting customers. She also said to the waiting customers that 'there's a bit of a wait,' which wasn't necessarily true. When I hear that there's a wait, in most settings that means 15-30 minutes if not longer.
To Monique's credit, she was working as quickly as she could, but her failure to communicate accurate timelines meant that those few customers left before being served. One of those customers was a 2 top, the aforementioned man that waited 'for thirty minutes,' and he left within 1 minute of me being seated by Cassie, the on-shift supervisor.
This is a teachable moment for Monique, and I hope she takes this feedback critically and improves.
A lovely place to land for an overnight. Service was fantastic from the minute we pulled up. Drinks at the bar were just what we needed. Breakfast prepared by Misty was excellent and Monique, our server, was an absolute delight! We will return to the Magnolia when in Omaha!
We stayed three nights to explore Omaha. We arrived early as there was an ice storm and thankfully there was an early room available. We did street parking and just monitored when it was 9am-9pm. There was an ice storm and it was still slick out front the three days we were there. Shower is a hearty step up and very challenging in and out for our adult special needs son. Tile was slippery in the shower and water pressure was nonexistent. Would have dined at the restaurant but seating did not appear to accommodate a larger individual. Room was nice, beds comfortable. Many sirens as a block from police and fire. Evening milk and cookies and lobby coffee was a nice touch.
