The beds were very comfortable and the staff was pleasant.
Some paint could use touching up around the hotel. The shower had a step up which was a little unnerving.
Beautiful arquitecture
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. My experience at Olive & Ira's (the attached restaurant) was just so, aside from one hiccup. Most service staff were helpful, attentive, and were very pleasant. I had an interaction with Monique who was a bit less so - I arrived at the Saturday brunch service, behind 3 customers who had clearly been told to wait. Monique was cleaning glassware behind the bar counter, and after a few minutes, she told me to take a seat in front, they were just resetting and I'd get a table 'in a little while.' The few customers before me had already been told this, including one man who had informed me later that he had been waiting 'around thirty minutes.'
While that may have been an exaggeration, all three of these customers thought this wait to be too long or vague enough to take their business elsewhere. Monique used language like 'in a little while,' 'in a bit,' and 'it'll be a little bit' which at the time felt dismissive and inattentive to the waiting customers. She also said to the waiting customers that 'there's a bit of a wait,' which wasn't necessarily true. When I hear that there's a wait, in most settings that means 15-30 minutes if not longer.
To Monique's credit, she was working as quickly as she could, but her failure to communicate accurate timelines meant that those few customers left before being served. One of those customers was a 2 top, the aforementioned man that waited 'for thirty minutes,' and he left within 1 minute of me being seated by Cassie, the on-shift supervisor.
This is a teachable moment for Monique, and I hope she takes this feedback critically and improves.
A lovely place to land for an overnight. Service was fantastic from the minute we pulled up. Drinks at the bar were just what we needed. Breakfast prepared by Misty was excellent and Monique, our server, was an absolute delight! We will return to the Magnolia when in Omaha!
We stayed three nights to explore Omaha. We arrived early as there was an ice storm and thankfully there was an early room available. We did street parking and just monitored when it was 9am-9pm. There was an ice storm and it was still slick out front the three days we were there. Shower is a hearty step up and very challenging in and out for our adult special needs son. Tile was slippery in the shower and water pressure was nonexistent. Would have dined at the restaurant but seating did not appear to accommodate a larger individual. Room was nice, beds comfortable. Many sirens as a block from police and fire. Evening milk and cookies and lobby coffee was a nice touch.
Beautiful hotel with good restaurant attached. The restaurant stays open late. Shuttle not always available at times advertised.
A lovely historic hotel that is located across the street from the Orpheum Theater and walking distance to the Old Market.
The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful.
The onsite restaurant was a bit pricey but delicious. Definitely recommend the Herb Chicken and the Lemon cake for dessert. They also have a variety of drink options which you can take to the courtyard or back to your room.
The room was nice and cozy and the hotel itself was very clean.
Parking is available for an extra charge which is located in the back and gated. Would recommend this if staying for a few days. Street parking is available until 9am.
The location was great!
Parking was a little tricky.
Food and service were excellent. Our waitress, Cassie, was friendly and efficient!
Good food and service. Quick service. Friendly. Clean.
The Magnolia is probably the finest place to stay in Omaha all of the Bands and different performers stay at the Magnolia because they know it's the best. It's the little things that mean the most so when we went down for brunch Cassie was our server. She was great, she always had a smile the room was busy she was serving many different tables but always seemed available and ready to help us with anything we wanted or needed in the restaurant. What a great gal and what a wonderful experience this whole 4 Day weekend has been!
Beautiful building, friendly staff, clean and lovely room!
Dinner at restaurant was delicious with excellent service!
Very pretty hotel, I love the vintage with modern vibe. Sit out and sip coffee under the lights. The restaurant staff Sam, Monique, Missy all great. Very nice staff. Came out to Iowa for wresting and stayed here. A quick drive to the Arena.
My husband and I were in town for 3 days for a funeral. We have stayed in many 4* Boutique Hotels and were very disappointed by the Magnolia. Our room and hallways was very tired, barely decorated, grim and dreary. That being said, the bed was comfortable (after we got a spare blanket from the front desk) and the water pressure in the shower was good, which is how we judge our creature comforts. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, we expected a bathrobe in the room, and it was only available for purchase ($70!); the amenities in the bathroom were minimal; a barking dog in our hallway woke us up. We were surprised we had to pay extra for gated parking. Our room key didn't work to open the gate so we parked on the street. Not surprised to find a ticket in the morning (Just a "warning citation", no payment required.) We would not return.
Magnolia Hotel is in a great location. We recently went to an event at the Orpheum and was able to walk across the street. The restaurant was nice, our server was attentive and friendly. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Everyone was helpful and friendly. This was our second stay there.
We stayed at the Magnolia before a show and it was wonderful! This is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Omaha. Friendly staff, yummy restaurant and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was a perfect touch!
