Would stay here again and recommend it to others.
Pros:

Easy check-in process with Miguel at the front desk. Good breakfast and ample parking. Easy drive over to Anna Maria Island from this location.

Do NOT book here - pictures are deceiving.
Pros:

Scam. The pictures are completely deceiving. This hotel is dated and worn- not even in as clean of shape as 1-star roadside motels I've been to but for $270/night on a weeknight.
We were booked for 2 nights through Priceline. Only stayed one night because I had my young son with me and knew it would be more of a headache to find another option. There was skin/dirt/gunk in the headboards, and not from 1 person before me but surely from many. The top of the headboard has probably never been cleaned, and it included old food trash from a prior occupant. There was a dark brown goo hanging from the ceiling that I chose to remove myself, but opted not to take a picture of (looked like feces). I thought it was a dead bug...but it was worse than that once I wiped it off! The TV had a huge purple spot across it and the remote was cracked and broken. The AC reeked of mildew. The bathroom had many layers of cauld and peeling paint to try to cover up mold and mildew issues. The breakfast nook seating was worn more than any diner I've ever been in.
The only saving grace was that the front desk staff and food staff were incredibly nice. As if they know the issue is owners who do not reinvest in the site and there's nothing they can do about it.

When I checked out and asked about a refund, I was told to reach out to Priceline. When I called Priceline, they instructed me that the hotel left no notes so their policy is to do nothing. When I called the hotel, they claimed I needed to resolve it with them in person (and yet, when I was in person I was told that only Priceline could resolve it). There is some serious scam action going on here. Shameful. I see they often comment to 'bear with them in renovations' and yet those responses are well over a year old...so many lies. I've stayed at other Holiday Inn franchises and NEVER had a bad experience before this one.

Nice hotel with free breakfast.
Pros:

Property was clean and close to my points of interest. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Although I did not have time to use the pool it looked very well maintained.

Great staff. Check in was easy and pleasant.

Cons:

1st. Shower barely flowed. Made it almost impossible to take a shower.
2. The commode was reluctant to flush.
3. Noticed some blood on the sheet this morning. Do not think it was ours.
4. The chair in the room had some evidence of probable romantic activity. It should have been cleaned.
5. The shower barely drained and water stood on the shower floor for an unusual amount of time.

Enjoyable and comfortable
Pros:

The location is excellent. Grocery stores are in short walking distance. Several other useful stores were about 3 to 5 minutes away by car. The breakfast was wonderful. It has a large variety of food items for everyone. The pool area

Staff is very friendly, helpful and smiles often. We enjoyed everything
