Tree Houses Hotel Costa Rica

This is a magical stay and we can’t say enough about how much we loved being at the Monkey Tree house.
We walked down to the river and went for a swim, saw howler monkeys, strawberry poison dart frogs, and had a relaxing afternoon. Alondra and the team served us amazing breakfasts in the morning and took time to chat. Rae gave us good advice on what to do with one of our kids being sick. We took her advice and got some medicine from the pharmacy.
We had a pizza delivery right to our treehouse. Coffee was delivered every morning at 6am in a thermos and food was put out for the birds. It was so relaxing having a coffee before going down for breakfast.
We loved the night walk with Silar and he made it an intriguing experience. He is funny and we never knew what he was going to find next to show us.
There was a sloth that we could see from the deck of the tree house.
We loved the jungle sounds.
I highly recommend staying at the treehouses hotel. The hospitality was 10 out of 10.

Fun place! Great breakfast!

This place was a great find and a unique experience. The bed was comfortable, and coffee on the balcony in the morning was delightful. The friendliness of the staff, delicious food, beautiful setting, guided night walk, and lots of animals made this a great four-night stay. Yes, there is a bit of traffic noise, and it's a bit of a drive to the hub of most activities, but these tradeoffs were worth it, and we would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay at the tree houses! We were there with our 8 and 11 year old daughters and had a great time. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with scheduling activities. Our kids loved the unique experience of sleeping in the treehouses! The coffee delivery was awesome and breakfasts were fantastic. We'd highly recommend this property!

What a unique experience! Staying in a tree house in the jungle! Jane never had it this good. Coffee was delivered each morning to enjoy on your deck while listening to the birds and enjoying the surroundings. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were wonderfully friendly. The night walk was so much fun and we even saw a red eyed tree frog and a sloth. Can’t wait to return.

Great property with an amazing staff!!

This place was absolutely amazing! We stayed at the Frog house for three nights, two adults and two teens. The staff was super helpful both, before and during the trip. They kindly answered a ton of questions as I was preparing for the trip, helped book activities, organized transport from airport. Breakfast was wonderful - a different, delicious meal every morning, with fresh fruits and juices. Tea or coffee delivered to your cabin every morning is a very nice touch. Staff is very kind and attentive. There are really nice trails on the property, we saw sloths, monkeys and many beautiful birds. There are a couple of rescued dogs that live at the property, they are super sweet, greet guests, play with kids, even go on hikes with guests.

I would also recommend activities offered through the Tree Houses. We did an all-day adventure with Juan Carlos and learned so much about Costs Rica’s animals and plants, saw a lot of wildlife and just had an amazing experience. He is very knowledgeable and patient, allowed us to go at our own pace and enjoy the things we wanted to do the most.

I would also highly recommend visiting Proyecto Asis for both, sloth tour and/or wildlife tour. We did both. These people are doing wonderful work supporting wildlife. Very informative and engaging at the same time.

We loved absolutely everything about this place, they exceeded all of our expectations.

A fun way for the family to experience the jungle, surrounded by nature. The tree house was clean and equipped with everything you need and more. The property is filled with wildlife. There are walking trails to experience the animals and birds as well as a guided night hike. The staff were excellent and friendly. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay soooo much. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. I felt safe. I saw several animals (for free) I never thought I’d see. The breakfast was so good. The staff are insanely kind and respectful. If I ever come back to Costa Rica I will definitely be staying here again!!!

Very cool property with a beautiful hike right on site. Saw sloths, howler monkeys and many birds. Breakfast was also delicious both days we stayed.

The treehouse was an unique experience with friendly ,informative and fun staff .
National birds , monkeys , iguanas right outside your door.
Morning coffee waiting each morning on decks .
And the bamboo massage was one of the very best in ambience and skill I have had

Most unique place we've been! Loved hearing all the birds, frogs, monkeys in the trees surrounding us. The homemade morning breakfast with the group was such a special touch, I miss it now that we are home! The treehouse itself was clean, simple, wi fi free and had all we need (mini fridge, safe, clean towels). We slept like babies, and the front staff were always more than accomadating for help with ordering food, rides, suggestions about the area and just generally nice and helpful! We already told our travel friends to go check this place out! Kids will love it too, esp the night hikes!! The dogs that live there are also so sweet!!

Unique, amazing, and unforgettable

We loved our stay at The Treehouses Hotel. It was very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It felt like they were genuinely happy to share their spaces with us and that we were there. The breakfast was delicious. We all loved it and were grateful to watch the birds. The coffee delivered to our room was a wonderful treat and it was extra special to have the staff put fruit up near the treehouse to attract the birds in the morning . We stayed at the Frog treehouse and there is a significant amount of road noise at that one (they mention this in the description so we were prepared for it). We had a sound machine going and earplugs were still useful due to the large trucks passing on the road frequently. The night hike that is included is wonderful!! The resort staff was helpful to us for assisting with activity planning. I wish we had planned some activities like the Tico experience (an activity to make food with a local family) in advance. We waited until we got there and a lot was already booked. The tours with Juan Carlos looked awesome as well. We did end up taking their suggestion and doing the chocolate tour with their recommendation which was awesome! The Tree Houses Hotel is about 35-45 minutes from La Fortuna and about an hour from things like the hanging bridges and the Arenal volcano. The roads to and from it were well maintained.
