Unsanitary & poorly maitained rooms
Cons:

Avoid this hotel. Our stay at the Royal Marang Hotel was extremely disappointing and far below what you would expect from a supposed 4-star property.

The first room we were given had no hot water. After more than 1.5 hours of waiting and several staff members checking the issue, we were forced to move to another room located on the opposite side of the hotel, carrying all our luggage again.

The second room had a strong chemical smell (similar to eucalyptus/petroleum) that made the room almost unbearable. It clearly seemed that some cleaning product had been used just before our arrival — which is unacceptable, especially considering that I am pregnant and such products should not be used in occupied rooms.

We had to move a third time. In the last room, there were no proper blackout curtains, so daylight came through the entire night.

This level of service and room quality is completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. Very disappointing experience.

Pros:

The spa treatment was great. Very relaxing and good service and product offering. The breakfast buffet was also good.

Cons:

The room service was poor and a struggle to get through. Even when calls were answered they did not follow through on requests or orders.

Cons:

Service during breakfast can improve a lot. There was no offer for tea / coffee. Our used cutlery and crockery were not removed, so we had to place them on the vacant table.

The balacony was not clean.

Pros:

Store fine rom. Pent opparbeidet anlegg. God mat.

Cons:

Svømmebasseng ute av drift. Kunne ikke sette restaurant regning på rommet. Det tok lang tid før vi fikk middagen servert. Få elektriske kontakter på rommet.

I loved my stay there, i will come back again , hopefully to a much more cleaner place.

breakfast was amazing except for the the rat droppings that were under the table and corners of the dinning room
