The bartender at the bar was amazing! She handled being short staffed well and had to setup all the snacks for Happy Hour as well as serve all the guests at the bar. She handled it with grace.
The Bar /Restuarant is really run down and needs renovations. Also they name of the resturant isn't correct for bookings. The name is different at the hotel. They need more staff to assist with Happy Hour.
The size of the room
My room was not cleaned. No soap in the bathroom but instead had lotion that the front desk told me was soap. A child's toy in the corner of the bedroom showing that it had not been cleaned.
Rude
Service
Breakfast was great.
They charged my card $1500 extra. They refunded when we called to dispute but would not have caught it on their own.
The atmosphere is laid back yet also business casual. Some people were there for several types of conferences and it was nice to see everyone mingle during happy hour. I was very shocked at the turnout! They also have the most AMAZING student employee program for young adults trying to get out in the workforce! It’s called Journey. I have a son with Autism and I am also an Autism Specialist/RBT/ABA Therapist. It made my day to open my door to go to breakfast and by greeted by the most sincere “Good Morning Ladies!” by a young man working in the housekeeping department. It really shows there are still some companies going the extra mile for inclusion. That speaks volumes for the property management and staff! Our front desk host was Devin, and he was definitely the man for the job. It was very busy when we checked in, also happy hour so just rather busy in general, but he handled it like it wasn’t anything, never showing anything but the best customer service. Breakfast is delicious, room was spacious and very clean. Definitely my new favorite place to stay in KC. It’s a very nice quiet area with actually a lot more around than I expected. Very impressed!!
Everything was really amazing.
Paying for parking and not knowing until I was already checked in that it cost extra.
Front desk staff
Everything, the rooms were disgusting. My husband and 3 grand kids checked in at 5 am. I was switched to a second room after discovering that my room was nasty. However, my second room wasn't any better
The lobby is beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was AMAZING! I loved the cook to order station!
The pool was kind of small and cold 🥶.
Convenient
Used water bottles left in the fridge.
Food area was dirty and hardly any food left.
Had to pay to park in a lot.
Excellent service
Nothing
What we like about the property is it is close to our house for a weekend getaway. We love the overall atmosphere and we love the breakfast. The beds are always very comfortable and for the most part the rooms are clean.
Things that went wrong on this trip. When we enter the hotel, there are many Christmas decorations up, but no one had bothered to turn the lights on and during the holiday season seems like this would be a no-brainer also in regard to our first room the TV did not work and had to call maintenance to get it working. There were multiple lightbulbs out in the light fixtures and the hot water in the bathtub did not work due to a faulty cartridge in the faucet so we moved to a second room, which is not a huge big deal, but it was a slight inconvenience in that room. The room was clean and nice however there was still no hot water in the sink.
