Rude staff, small rooms, hotel stinks, closest Cafes are 15-30 min walks.
Gets recommended by the cruise line, pick another hotel
The dinner snack session and the breakfast were absolutely great. The staff were where the major problems were apparent. Check-in staff were passable, but gave little to no direction for baggage storage prior to check in, then, once it was found, my party was berated for accessing it without permission. Wait staff at breakfast also took no time to clean the area, which made us lose our breakfasts and had to get our food a second time.
Checked in at 2pm. Could not cool the room below 25C (77F). Told front desk 3 times, twice in afternoon, once in evening. Never fixed, no other room offered. Hotel is definitely NOT disabled friendly. Multiple stairs to climb just on ground floor. Can’t get to elevator to breakfast room in basement without going up and down sets of stairs. Hotel is clean, room was spacious but….. Hotel is not near city center but they do have a free shuttle to get near it.
This hotel is top notch; great service, excellent breakfast with a wide variety of items to choose from; they provide a complimentary shuttle to and from the Spanish steps, which is central to lots of shopping and restaurants.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and cleaned daily. The beds are comfortable, and the sound insulation is excellent, ensuring a quiet and restful night's sleep.
The breakfast area is spacious and pleasant. While the selection is not enormous, it is more than sufficient, with enough variety to start the day well.
The only point worth mentioning is the location, but this is more a matter of personal preference than a drawback of the hotel itself. The hotel is located in the northern part of Rome, about a 15-minute walk from Villa Borghese and 20–25 minutes from Piazza del Popolo. If, like me, you prefer to explore the city entirely on foot, the daily walks to and from the historic center can become quite tiring. However, the hotel is very well connected by public transportation, and for most visitors this is unlikely to be an issue.
Overall, an excellent hotel that I would happily recommend.
Stayed as part of a cruise . Rooms small but clean enough . Bathroom large shower area . Small desk and chair . View of street . Breakfast ok nothing to write home about . Had dinner in hotel restaurant lovely but expensive . Roof top bar €24 for two cocktails good location for sites
We stayed one night in this hotel before our cruise, great location and the room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed.
We had a drink in the rooftop restaurant which had a lovely ambience and night time view.
Breakfast the next morning was very good, with lots of choice and set us up for the day, B&b was great value!
The highlight for us was the concierge Massimiliano, who could not be more helpful. He got us a early check in which was much appreciated as we had a very early start that day! He reserved a table for us at a nearby restaurant for dinner and organised a golf cart tour of Rome for us, which was fabulous 👌 He also checked in with us to insure we were enjoying ourselves, top marks to this man, a great ambassador for Radisson Blu Rome!
This is truly a beautiful hotel with exceptional people that work there. In particular, I would like to give praise to the absolute best concierge I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His name is Massimiliano Varchi. Massimiliano works tirelessly and goes above and beyond for his customers. He does this with a smile and a pleasantness that is unusual in today’s society. If you stay here, make sure you stop by his desk and say hi. He made our stay one to remember. Thank you Massimiliano for everything.
Very friendly staff and the breakfast was very good as well
We stayed at the Radisson Blu GHR in Rome. It was further out from the city centre than expected but it’s not a problem if you are happy to use the Metro or you can use the local taxi service to get you in and around Rome; although be warned this can vary in price; often being between 14 - 25€ each way!
The hotel staff are welcoming and Massimo who works in concierge is very helpful and friendly. He organised us a private golf buggy tour with Roxanna during our stay which was excellent. I would have liked her details so that I could leave her a review too but we don’t have it. She really was an excellent guide around Rome. Thank you to Massimo for organising this and I recommend this to anyone wanting to explore Rome!
I would say that as lovely as the hotel staff are, this hotel was a little overpriced for what you get. The rooms are a little run down in places and in terms of relaxing in the hotel in the day to escape the heat or rest your feet, there is no separate hotel lounge and bar area where you can get a coffee or cold beverage or light snack. There is just the hotel lobby area which is often crowded and the ‘American Bar’ was in constant darkness during the 5 days we were there. Not sure why? When returning each evening from being out in town, it was a little strange having to go up to the roof top restaurant to have a drink. You’d have to sit in the restaurant amongst diners as there was rarely a free table outside as they are limited in space. Not a complaint, just would have been good to enjoy the space and convenience/service of a separate bar/lounge area which you might expect from a hotel of this star rating and price.
We didn’t sample the Roman Restaurant during our stay but we did order food on our first night in the Roof top restaurant which was lovely. The breakfast was also great with a variety of options.
Overall the hotel is clean, staff are friendly and we enjoyed our stay.
We were booked into this hotel prior to our Cruise. Princess Cruises booked us the room.
We arrived around 13.30 and the room wasn’t ready so we left our luggage at the hotel and went out to explore Rome.
We arrived back at 17.00 and was told that our room was ready. We were given instructions on breakfast etc and then given our room number card. We retrieved our luggage and went to the lift. We went to the lift where we were directed to go and on the floor we couldn’t find our room. We went back to reception and was (in my opinion) rudely told that we used the wrong lift- He said that he told us which lift to use and “he always tells people”. We got to our “upgraded” room to find two twin beds. We were tired from traveling all day and couldn’t be asked to request the bed formation to be changed. I was still upset regarding the rude attitude about using the wrong lift-
We are both pensioners and had to negotiate steps to the first floor and then second and correct floor.
Apart from this experience the stay was comfortable, quiet and clean.
However, after breakfast before check out our room was cleaned, bed in queen formation ready for the next guests, I presume. An apology and less arrogant behaviour would have changed my review from a 2 star to a 5 star
Superb location, great ambience and customer centric culture. Breakfast can be better but overall a great experience. Will be back soon.
The staff are absolutely amazing and made my stay memorable. The location of the hotel is wonderful. Tons of walkable shops and restaurants.
First off the men the the reception desk and especially Alejandro were very friendly and helpful. When I came back each day they would say Hi or how was your day.
Now for the bad Apple rude Jessica . My first encounter was asking her about taking the shuttle, she ask me if had a reservation I did not, She told she would look to see if there was room on the shuttle, and yes she could fit me in. I got on the shuttle and was the only one taking it and thought that was weird how she put it since I was only one on the shuttle.
Next day my two cousins checked into the hotel and they thought she was sorta rude, like they did not belong in Radisson Blu.
We went room my room to talk and I said I need to call down to reception desk because my air condition was not working and the room was hot. About 6:30 pm a maintenance man came and tried to get it working but could not, he spoke to Jessica and handed the phone to me. She told me could not be fixed and she call me back. We waited till about 8pm and decided to go the the Rooftop restaurant cool off and have dinner. I got back to my room and called the front desk and Jessica scolds me and said " I called your room an hour ago and you did not answer."
I told her we went upstairs for dinner and why am I defending myself to her. She proceeded to tell me they have a smaller room with air conditioning since I know it is "important to you", would you like that room. I asked if it would be fixed by tomorrow., she said you are checking out tomorrow. I said I should be checking out on Sunday not Saturday. She no and I did check I and made a mistake. I asked if there was a room available for one more night, she said no we fully booked and I could ask the front desk in the morning and I ask her to leave a note for them asking about cancellations and I could tell she did not want to but she finally said yes. Then again she asked if I want to change rooms since "I know air conditioner is important to you". I said it's 10 pm and not worth packing and moving to a smaller room if only for one night. I went to the front desk asked if Jessica left a note about room for one more night, surprise no note for morning staff.
What bugs me the most is she prejudice against Asians or rude to all tourist or just a rude person. Anyone else have feed back about Jessica please respond.
Our stay was fine. The room was smaller than expected. It was a little out to the way for the things we wanted to see.
Massimiliano the concierge was amazing! He went out of his way so many times. He was one of the best concierge we have experienced so far in all our travels. He is a problem solver and we appreciated all his wonderful restaurant advice.
I had a fantastic stay in May 2026. The hotel is perfectly situated in a wonderfully quiet and calm area, yet remains just a short, convenient walk to the bustling city center. The property is great, exceptionally clean, and highly comfortable. A very special thank you goes to the reception professionals, Claudio and Madina, who provided me with outstanding support and genuine hospitality throughout my entire stay. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing experience at this hotel - definitely one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! From the very first day, our room was incredibly clean, and the service felt like a true 5-star experience (Massimo е Patrik, Simone, Francesca). The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide variety of options, which was especially important for us since we were traveling with a child. The location is also great - easy to reach the main historical attractions by bus or taxi. Overall, a top-quality hotel, and we will definitely come back!
The hotel was clean, no sign of bedbugs and the staff did not steal anything or ramble in our belongings. This is the only hotel I would stay in when visiting Rome. The front desk staff are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is decent considering I'm American and I don't eat meat, my only options were pastries pancakes and fruit. Breakfast included a lot of breads and pastries, meats- salami, prosciutto, cheeses, pancakes, cheese eggs, roasted potatoes, rice, bacon, alot of milk options, fresh fruit and yogurts. The breakfast was cold each time I ate, but the pancakes were delicious. A must see is the rooftop bar. Small but nice view.
Very nice hotel. Very clean rooms. We had a little problem with our lock but they came right away and fixed it. Breakfast buffet is wonderful as well. Would recommend.
