Excellent location, good quality food, helpful staff, but customers should not be asked for a deposit on arrival

Cons:

That they asked for a deposit of 50 euros in case I broke anything. This is a first for me and I travel a lot. The cost of the room should cover for this. It made me feel ‘assumed guilty’ and it was not pleasant

Very disappointing stay — the only positive thing was the convenient location, close to everything.

Very disappointing experience.

The room was extremely small, old, and poorly maintained. The refrigerator was not working, the air conditioning was uncomfortable, there was almost no natural sunlight, and there were no tissues in the room.

We arrived late at night and stayed only for a few hours, yet we were charged extra for my 15-year-old daughter. During the same trip, other hotels accommodated the three of us in one room and even provided an extra bed for her at no additional cost.

I understand that every hotel has its own policies, but the lack of flexibility and consideration was disappointing, especially given our late arrival and very short stay.

Overall, the experience was not worth the price, and unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

Very Disappointing Experience

We booked 3 nights at around €187 per night, and throughout the stay I kept asking myself: how is this a 4-star hotel?

The AC was not cooling the room properly and the room was extremely hot. We live in Dubai, so we definitely know when an AC is working and when it isn’t. Instead of solving the problem, the managers and technicians kept arguing with us and insisting it was working. When we called again because the room was still hot, they actually hung up on us.

My advice to the hotel owner is simple: 1) seriously reconsider the staff representing your hotel, and 2) properly train your team on hospitality and how to treat guests. The attitude we experienced does not represent what you would expect from a 4-star hotel—or the hospitality visitors should experience in Albania. Unfortunately, it left such a bad impression that it negatively affected how we felt about our entire visit to the country.

This hotel does not deserve four stars. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I would give it.
