My daughter and I stayed Coast Bastian Hotel vom 25. 01 -28.01.2026. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious. All the hotel hotel staff were courteous and friendly. I will book again.

Wonderful Stay at the Coast Bastion
Pros:

I was down in Nanaimo for a 2 day workshop. I decided to stay at this hotel and it was a good choice.
The reception was friendly and they gave me a room on the 15th floor with a small balcony overlooking the harbour. A comfortable king bed , small couch and coffee table plus a desk all in a fairly large room.
Very pleased!
The in hotel restaurant was also very good.

We had a great stay, the beds were very comfortable!
Pros:

I stay here often because of the location, great staff and ease of check in/parking.

Cons:

The room we had was overlooking the vent system for the restaurant which was quite load throughout the night.

Spectacular view and great location
Pros:

The room was fantastic! The location is perfect for being by the harbour and proximity to Port Theatre.

Cons:

It was a bit noisy at night with doors opening and closing and some traffic noises. Plus the fridge kept kicking in and out.
