A great place to stay in the center of town. It’s an easy walk to restaurants, bars, parks, and shopping.
Pros:

The Coast Bastion is located in downtown Nanaimo next to the harbor with amazing views and walking distance to a lot of shops, restaurants, and parks.

Cons:

One of the elevators was broke during our stay, so that made it inconvenient as the wait was longer than normal.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang am Checkin, innen komplett renoviert, große Zimmer mit Blick auf die Bucht und fantastischem Sonnenuntergang, -aufgang. Direkt an der Uferpromenade gelegen.

Grumpy desk staff.
Pros:

The view was amazing.

Cons:

Broken shower head. Deck door wouldn’t open. Bathroom fan didn’t work. We didn’t complain because these were not that bothersome, but when we tried to report the issues at the front desk she said we weren’t pushing the door hard enough and told us how to adjust the shower head. Not helpful. Next guests will have the same problems.

Schönes Hotel mitten in der Stadt
Pros:

Balkon zum Hafen, mit dem Glück, dort einen Orca sehen zu können. Parken sehr unproblematisch, wenngleich die Garage nicht abgeschlossen ist.

Fabulous stay at Coast Bastion Nanaimo
Pros:

As soon as you enter lobby ,everyone was so friendly and helpful.Derek on reception was so very helpful and kind.we were few hours early ,he talked us through car parking, which you have to register your car at reception before parking .
The rooms are huge ,so very clean and also has a large bathroom, shower over step in bath.
Minnoz bar and restaurant so very nice ,great staff and exceptionally good food.
Fabulous 3 x night stay.close to shops ,Harbour Air sea plane less than 5 minute stroll.BC ferry terminal less than 5 minutes drive.you can see both departures from your sea facing window.

Ideally situated for exploring. Lovely modern clean rooms. Easy parking.
Pros:

Modern,friendly and welcoming. Ideally situated close to the harbour. Lovely restaurant and bar with plenty of choice of food and drinks. Plenty of parking underground for a small daily charge.

It was great location room was nice and tidy and the views were spectacular! And best cheesecake place is walking distan
Pros:

How close it was to the best bakery and our ball field we had to play at for our tournament.

Cons:

Breakfast wasn’t the best. Didn’t like the egg sandwich it had way too much cheese.
