Great location, very convenient
Pros:

Complimentary snacks and drinks, dog bed and complimentary treats
Great location

Cons:

Pillows were flat, would be nice to have known about dog bed being provided as we brought our own (maybe we were told but don't think so), toilet seat was wobbly, TV remote worked when it wanted to, was slightly annoyed I was told I hadn't mentioned we were bringing a dog when I had mentioned it, he did then realise we had a dog friendly room and we'd been given bed and treats, a little apology would've sufficed is all

Comfortable stay but slightly tricky location
Pros:

The room was clean and of high quality, as expected. Most of the staff members were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Although the hotel is in central Edinburgh, the location can be a little awkward for taxi/Uber pick-ups, and you’ll have a short uphill walk. Also, the lift was not fully functional during my stay.

Over rated hotel
Pros:

Overrated!

Staff was friendly. Room clean but old and small for the price we paid.

Central to shops and train station though.

Fab hotel, staff and location. We will return definitely.
Pros:

This was our second stay at this hotel which will be our go to hotel for all our future trips to Edinburgh. Great location and fab rooms. We have been fortunate to be given a room upgrade on both occasions which was much appreciated. Beautifully appointed rooms and possibly the most comfy bed that I have ever slept on. Complimentary irn bru, Tunnocks and water were a nice touch.
Staff at check in and check out were so nice, friendly, professional and helpful. They were both amazing and an absolute credit to the hotel. Not often I praise staff by name but both Avril and Chelsea were outstanding!!!!!! Praise to them both is well deserved.
We will definitely be back. Thanks for such a great stay!

Fantastic location will definitely return
Pros:

Fantastic hotel with a fabulous location near the Playhouse.

Jess checked me in and was so helpful. She helped me with directions and also called me a taxi. Jess also served me at the bar.

Room was a good size at the back of the hotel and was very quiet during the night.

Breakfast was excellent the next morning and they had gluten free bread. I had eggs benedict which was very tasty. Lots of choices.

Andrew was also very helpful at check out
