Perfect stop over.
Pros:

After a long drive from Townsville the late night check-in was relatively quick. I loved that they had drinks available for purchase at reception, so a nice cold beer was perfect.
The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. Lucky for me that the one EV charger they had was available so I was able to leave the next morning with 100% charge!

Cons:

The lady who checked us in was very unfriendly and quite rude. It was like you were an inconvenience. So when the EV charger wasn't working I was not keen on going back to tell her. Usually I don't tolerate that kind of service but I was too tired to bother. But she really should consider a new job that might make her smile. After a long day, a friendly welcoming face would have been lovely.

for similar prices, the other hotels in the area are much more comfortable.
Pros:

staff were friendly. lobby was nice. shower was hot. bed was reasonably comfortable.

Cons:

the room was dissapointing and did not match advertised photos. room had terrible view. the tv was not opposite the bed. the room felt old and needed renovations. the heating did not work. and the balcony was not even a meter wide.

It was okay but overpriced for the room.
Pros:

What a great location and the staff were lovely.

Cons:

The mattress was not comfortable, the bathroom was dated and the water not particularly hot and didn’t last long enough. A 50cm hole in the middle of the bottom sheet.

Power points were too low to the floor at the bed for our plugs so we had to ask for a giant box thing.

No water jug to have cold water.

There was supposed to be a river view but it was a small section between buildings and not a view at all.
