Ramada By Wyndham Cairns City Centre

Good overnight stay, room next door was noisy until early hours of the morning but it was great to see the pool back after replacement following cyclone Jasper.

Great location to Cairns CBD, the area where we stayed was a little bit tired but there is some refurbishment in progress. No complaints, and we enjoyed our stay. I recommend this place.

Hotel was dated and in urgent need of renovation. No pool access, it was a building site. Breakfast was located in a Chinese restaurant and was awful. The restaurant was filthy, struggled to find a clean table to sit at. Didn't go there the next day and went out for breakfast. Must be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Avoid at all costs!

It's like the cheapest hostel and absolutely not a hotel! Be careful and don't trust their pictures. Check the visitor's photos here. They are true!

1. Poorly lighted room.
2. Uncomfortable bed.
3. Window treatments that did not close all the way.
4. Hear neighbors through thin walls.
5. No phone in room to contact front desk.
6. No desk light(s).
7. Don't sit on the toilet when you flush - the water with douse you.
8. No dresser in room for clothes.
9. Tile floors in bedroom.
10. Bathrub faucet inoperable - only shower worked.
11. Long step up and down to get into the tub/shower.
12. Two nightstand lights not bright enough.
13. TV was slightlyl bigger than my laptop screen.
14. No phone - no room service.
15. Floors in the building are multi-level but no ramp on the first floor.
16. The front desk staffers were very helpful - YAY one plus!!

I was hugely disappointed b my stay here having stayed at other hotels in the chain. My room was in need of a refresh and an update. The swimming pool was closed and was being worked on so every Morning we were woken at 0600 by the skips lorry replacing them. Our window shutters didn't quite close properly so there was some light in my room. The only positive was the receptionist called Sarah who was brilliant. The breakfast was OK but the staff there were disinterested.

Before I say anything the staff were all lovely BUT when you pay to stay in a place with a pool & parking you expect a pool & parking. Pool & carpark are under renovation so this should be disclosed prior to booking. There is no pool & very limited parking expect if you have an 4WD or SUV. Everything else was average. Cockroach in the bathroom. Cracked tub. No Netflix. One wall light for the entire unit so you can't see anything at night & the A/c just blew sub par room temp air. Wouldn't stay again for the price I paid

The room had lots of space, which was excellent for relaxing, and the bed was very comfortable. The room fan controls appeared to not be working - either on or off - and it was very loud, which wasn't great. The aircon was old and noisy, but did the trick.

Friendly staff, tidy rooms & good facilities

Unfortunately the room was not clean,cockroaches were seen in the cupboards and bathroom.
The room had a damp foul smell without any natural ventilation or fresh air.
Had stayed earlier in other Ramada by Wyndham hotels in other cities were good but this hotel condition was very bad.
Will stay in other hotels in Cairns next time.
Please arrange for a refund ASAP

Not a Wheelchair friendly hotel, Room was shocking NO Telephone in the room, bedroom tiles were stained in a few places looked like some chemical stains, Bathroom floor had small HOLES in the tiles, and the BATHTUB had CRACKS in numerous places where you need to stand to have a shower the bathtub had impressions of a a mat that might have been used in the past as well the bathtub had yellow stains because of the age of the tub, one of our WORST experences in a hotel

Excellent location. Property being renovated probably will be good once complete. I like older original accomodation, however felt like too many dodgy maintenance, DIY type of workmanship

Staff are friendly

Worst hotel experience I’ve had for while. Booking for wrong, bedding was wrong. Not accessible as stated on original booking. When moved to accessible room it was clearly an after thought that was built into an existing storage area completely with smells and a bed folding out of the wall. When you can get the Hilton for $20 more this place is a joke.

Property was OK overall. Lots of construction currently so dirty and noisy. People above us were moving furniture all night two nights in a row. I did not understand how they had the energy.

The staff was GREAT!!! Friendly and willing to cut up and have some fun with customers.

Lovely staff, clean, good location

It had a colonial stlye look about it and it was in a convenientlocation. Room amenities could do with a work over.

Great location

You can hear the people in the room next to you and above you walking around and what they're doing at night and it wasn't because those occupants were being deliberately loud. Didn't sleep much the entire stay.

Very old place. Shower head was dead, couldn't shower without water splashing everywhere or without holding with one hand. Uncomfortable outdoor furniture used insiden. Pillow covers were mouldy. Unfortunately witnessed cockroaches walking around at night. Over priced for the super poor quality.

Room was in poor state. Towels had holes in them, fridge had no shelfing, aircon vent and fans were filthy.
