This was our first time to llandudno and it did not disappoint. Our hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly. The location was amazing and we even got a couple of days of sunshine. Food was good and drinks were reasonably priced.
Went on a turkey and tinsel break by coach. Lovely hotel right on the seafront, handy for shops etc. Nice large clean room with double and single bed. Very friendly, helpful, efficient staff, nothing too much trouble, always helped with a smile, best ever. Complimented the chef on the excellent food, couldn't fault it. Entertainment great, would certainly return. Unfortunately, it is closing soon for refurbishment, hope they don't spoil it.
We have just returned from this hotel with a coach party. On arrival we were welcomed to the hotel with tea and scones whilst the luggage was taken to the rooms. The rooms are quite small, but most have sea views, and are clean.Any issues guests had with the rooms were sorted out very quickly. The location of the hotel is perfect, the food plentiful and very good. There was a Christmas theme/hotel programme for what was taking place but unfortunately this was not displayed anywhere.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and the evening entertainment was brilliant.
All in all my group had a great weekend. I agree it’s not 4 star, but then neither is the price. It is definitely value for money.
The beds are so hard - they said they usually have to put extra duvet under bottom sheet for people. My husband got cobwebs on his face as he was getting into bed! Found lipstick on my wineglass on 2 separate occasions - told because women use lipstick the dishwasher doesn't remove - no apologies! Very little parking space - we had to park on the promenade which isn't free unless you have disabled sticker. Three nights there was male singer using massive amplification - really hurt the ears, we couldn't stay in bar or adjoining rooms. Hotel looks really tired and in need of update.
One good point, they send taxis to pick up and return regular elderly guests. We will NOT return.
If we hadn’t been part of a group we would have checked straight out again. Our room was tiny and very dated. There were 3 tiny drawers and we had to put our clothes on a stool. Luckily the duvet could been seen by a gap in the cover as it was grey and filthy. It was warm enough that we didn’t use it. The table was covered in crumbs and the remote control thick dust. We had sanitiser wipes and had to clean everything. The shower was tied up with a cable tie. 2 stars for the restaurant staff and food that were very good.
We went on a 5 day coach holiday with Gardiners NMC. We were served tea & scones upon arrival to this lovely hotel which is beautifully furnished downstairs. The staff are very friendly, helpful & attentive, nothing is too much trouble despite obviously being short staffed. Their manners are impeccable. The meals are generous & delicious with plenty of choice. There was no prolonged wait between courses, everything was so efficient. The only downside was the size of our double room which was very small, but we had a magnificent view over the bay which compensated for the limited space. Thank you for a lovely experience.
We stayed at the hotel last week and were greatly impressed with it. When we arrived and checked in we were served tea and scones which was a lovely welcome. We had booked to put our car in the garage at the back of the hotel and two members of staff met us there and took our bags to our room. You pay extra to park in the garage but it is well worth it. We had only booked Bed and Breakfast but after looking at the dinner menu we decided to eat at the hotel and we weren’t disappointed at all with the food. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The hotel was very clean and it was good to see so many hand sanitizers on the walls which was very reassuring. Also the notice on the lift that only two persons from the same bedroom were allowed in the lift at one time. (another good covid prevention measure). We had booked a room with a sea view which was on the third floor but that was no problem as there was a lift. To summarise. We were very impressed with everything about the hotel and will definitely be returning to visit it again.
We went for two night break. Great service, scone and tea on arrival. Private locked parking was a bonus. The breakfast and dinner were first class. Especially the light jam sponge with plenty of custard!
The room was well equipped with a great view of the bay.
The staff were all extremely helpful, in particular, Lara who was attentive without being OTT.
We will definitely return.

Great location , excellent food for the cost , the hotel is a little dated shabby bedroom , spotless en suite though. More thought needed for guests personal items .
I had no bath mat or milk on arrival , both were rectified. Very quickly even though cases were still being brought to the rooms and evening meal was imminent . The only place for toiletries in the ensuite was on the window sill over the lavatory which is neither practical or hygienic . No shelf in the shower. For shampoo etc . A small hand basin in the en-suite wasn’t particularly suitable for needs . And also had a large towel rail across the top which meant the sink could not be used . The kettle wouldn’t fit under the tap and teapot was provided to fill the kettle with water. You also had to hold your finger down on the button to allow the kettle to boil.
Large hole in the wall behind the headboard needing filling and repainted . Shabby grimy fitted wardrobe with old and delapadated hangers gave off the final ambiance as past its best.
Just returned from 2 night stay a St Kilda , have to say what a brilliant stay it was . The food was wonderful my complements to all the staff they were brilliant warm and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and comfortable my room a twin with walkin shower 222 was clean and had a sea view , I usually travel to llandudno with a coach firm but this was a solo visit by train which I will definitely do again in the future to the St Kilda.
a lovely clean hotel with an excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. we were originally staying in room 123. but after 1 very uncomfortable night asked to swap rooms due to the extreme hardness of the bed instead of waking up refreshed i felt like i had been kicked by a horse. the second room cost us an extra £40 to upgrade was room 310 a much bigger room with much softer beds a double and a single was in this room. so the rest of our stay was very enjoyable.
The was 8 of us who stayed at the st kilda hotel we were all looked after so well by all the staff Tony the barmen and are two witnesses the food was lovely thankyou all from us ladies from Liverpool xx
lovely welcome-greeted with tea and scones
room wasnt great-bit basic premier inn style and just swelteringly hot!
bit of a hick up initially with evening meal which was resolved thankfully as the food was really good and really quick to serve!
all staff were great with lovely manor and happy to help with anything
superb location
walk on the pier then headed back to bed
tv was too small and couldnt really see it to relax in bed but the beds were really bad-not comfy at all and room was still too warm!
breakfast was lovely and again prompt
so
10/10 for staff
10/10 for food
10/10 for location
5/10 for room-bed-tv-
would really like to go again but let down by room which has a big affect on the stay!
Amazing Hotel and Staff. This is a lovely Victorian hotel full of wonderful character I have to say me and my family enjoyed our stay here so much I felt compelled to write this review having only checked out today. From the fantastic lady who checked in my family of 7 to the waiting staff all absolutely brilliant people. Although I didn’t get to experience the evening entertainment etc I did meet a lady fellow guest who has been coming here repeatedly every year for the last 50 years!.. Wow.. and I totally understand why. If you’re thinking of booking this hotel you will not regret it. Well done. I can’t wait to visit again.
i went hear for christmass with my partner as were we were going to canceld, we booked a double room and needed a room with a big shower as my partner has only 1 leg so thy booked a family room witch sound good but when we arrived thy had to change it as thy had some bad weather and the room thy had booked us was no go as it was to small2 single beds very small shower so thy offord a nother room that was a bit bigger but still single beds not very happy , so we put up with it as time was getting late ,went for evening meal not happy about the food ,just 1 thing nice were the staff very help full so i thought it would get better had a busy day so we thought we would have a early night but could not get to sleep as being not very good bed ,got up next morning for breakfast not very good as the cooked breakfast was not very hot ,so we ,hoped the meals would get better
Could not fault the food or the lovely staff. Lara & the Portuguese gentleman
waiter could not do enough. Also the Barman sorted WIFI out for me because
not available above ground floor.
Quite a Elegant looking a Victorian theme downstairs.
Upstairs quite a different story. Cold looking, tired, and depressive.
Room 311 3rd floor was just not nice, Dressing table mirror seemed to look greasy.
Moved the two single bed to make a double only to find loads of fluff underneath the beds.
The fluff wasn’t moved in the 5 days we stayed. In fact I didn’t see a vacuum all through the week. A small square window framed by curtains that had seen better times.
Okay why didn’t I complain at the time?. There was a mix up in my booking therefore I had phoned Mrs Jones the owner. I explained I had mobility problems, she offered
270 or 311. When asked which she would choose she said 311 because it was near lift
and had a nice window. It wasn’t by the lift & had a tiny window.
After lockdown & two years of not being able to go away It was emotional
to have a small break so I could not think of asking Mrs Jones to help again after what I had ended up with,
I would recommend that anyone would ask which room they are going into when booking.
Thanks to the hard working restaurant & bar staff who made some of the 5 days
pleasant.
The hotel is well placed with the beach sea and pier all within easy reach. The town about 10 minutes walk away. The staff were both very efficient and helpful, the hotel very clean in all the areas. Downside I always found it a rush come "breakfast" as if the staff were trying to speed us up. I also thought the food, although quite plentiful, I didnt really think it was tops though. The hotel next to St Kildas was offereing the same rates (apparently) but seemed to be more modern referring their website. I didnt have time to check out. St Kildas hotel is traditional, and nothing wrong with that but several areas including bedrooms were in need of some TLC and in need of a "update". The bathroom I had was soo small width ways the bath on one side, the loo in btween and another wall in a space of about 4 foot if that. Cosy was not the word! However, the hotel did appear to be in some sort of refurbishment going on as outside my bedroom windows was scaffolding!
stayed here five nights and would happily stayed for longer. the staff were lovely and kind and helpful and the food was excellent . we dined in 4 of the five nights (we went for a chinese the first night) ,but having seen the menu we were so glad to enjoy the excellent cooking of the chef . his pates and soups and gravid lax and main courses and puddings were really excellent - a 4 course feast with coffee and a
chocolate to follow.well done. you had to be patient with the lift but otherwise we were happy in twin room on the third floor overlooking the hills and clouds and the roofs of llandudno..there was entertainment in the evening if you wanted with one lovely welsh tenor telling jokes amidst his pick of lovely old songs from the sixties and seventies ,
Stayed for 2 nights in a Superior Sea view room. Parking is nightmare so be sure to pre book with the hotel when you book your room. It was a little confusing and difficult at first but with a lot of help and patience from the lovely Violet on reception we finally sorted it out. Room was much smaller than we imagined and rather cramped. There were 2 sash windows which gave a view of the sea. Basic hospitality tray, beds were very comfy with good linen. Bathroom very small and shower tiny, think if you were a large person you would struggle. Toiletries basic but we had brought our own so not a problem. room and bathroom were very clean. Downstairs area is very attractive and it also has a very elegant and comfortable lounge. Dining area ok, I had asked for 8pm seating and was surprised this was not allowed, the latest we could eat was 7.30. Food was fresh and well cooked, service was good, staff friendly but seemed slightly frazzled at times. I think the biggest problem this hotel has is the bar area. We like to have a drink before dinner and although the gentleman who tended bar was very nice and polite he was very slow and it didnt help that the card machine worked at a snails pace, so there was always a queue for drinks. Having another member of staff to help at the peak times would have made things much better. This wasnt just our view, many guests commented on the service. Overall a pleasant stay, and thank you again to Violet who was always smiling and helpful.
From the moment we were met in the parking garage by a staff member who took our cases from us and put them straight in our room, while we were served compliment tea and scones, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The hotel’s
decor is not ultra modern but perfectly reflects the building and our room was very comfortable, with a sea view and considering it was bank holiday weekend we did not hear any noise from the promenade or terrace outside. The food was very good and as a picky eater all my requests for variations to the menu were met without fuss.
