Lovely stay
Pros:

We have booked a quadruple room and it was big and comfortable! cleanliness was spot on. The hotel itself was small and cute, we liked the interior and it was not that far from the station, very convenient! However, i wish they have provided some slippers and had at least 1 international ports in the room, but overall stay, was fantastic!

Awful location and unsafe
Pros:

We visited Brussels for my mums 60th Birthday. It was supposed to be a special trip. We arrived at hotel on first glance wow lovely hotel but surrounding area awful. Drug users laying all over the floor and lingering around. Ear plugs are given as you will hear police sirens at all times.
First day we checked in we thought we would make the best of it and get the tram to grand place which is a lovely area we stayed there until about half 7ish in the evening and decided to go back to the hotel to have a chill and make a plan for evening only to find when we returned drug users in hotel doorway needles all over the floor outside and groups of drug users shouting at us and lingering around. Therefore we are did not feel safe to go exploring. We then opted to see if we just could have a drink in the hotel bar (reception) Well , no other drink than beer and a soft drink available. There was bottles of spirits but these were display only. We were then trapped in the hotel with no facilities to use and £600 down for the hotel cost for two nights. We made the decision to leave the hotel and find somewhere safer to stay. On checking out the same day we checked in as I was explaining what happend… someone off the street visably on drugs and alcohol stumbled into the foyer of the hotel and the security guard just watched as they entered the lift. They did not check who they were or what they were doing there. On returning home communication was poor. Do not stay here unless you want to be shouted at and unsafe in your room. I never listen to bad reviews and on booking.com there are several about feeling unsafe and random people walking into their hotel rooms and in this occasion I would advise people to listen to those bad reviews. Did not get a refund and hotel was dismissive on returning home.

Sweet hotel, superb facilities, don't be put off by area
Pros:

A really sweet hotel, lovely decor and ambience inside. The room was very comfortable, great bed, nice bathroom, breakfast was nice. A few people commented on the area outside the hotel... we too were coming from the train station and thought it would be a simple short walk, but with roadworks, and graffiti along the way, we opted for an Uber. The area is a little intimidating, however we had no issues at all. It was great value and an enjoyable stay, unfortunately the immediate area outside can let it down

Pros:

Fairly New hotel 10 mins from midi station. Hotel is very nice, but the area around was dirty and felt a little unsafe. Good restaurant next door and a team stop just over the square

Poor- Would not stay here again.
Pros:

Location of the hotel was awful: outside the hotel was an area used by the homeless and intoxicated. The street and area is not safe- we had to ensure we were always back before dark for safety. Staff just walked into our room with no warning- I had read this in another review and didn't realise this was a thing that happened until a random lady walked into our room, saw that we were there and then turned around and quickly closed the door with no explanation as to why she had entered. There was a balcony outside the room (we were on the floor facing the bar area) which was used as a playground for children in the evening, running up and down it making a substantial amount of noise. Our room was not cleaned for two days. We had left a pile of dirty towels in the bathroom which had not been collected. Upon telling the reception that our room had been cleaned, I was met with the response of, "Did you put the do not disturb notice on the door?" Which we did not do. She then said that cleaners would not be able to collect them that evening and that they would be back tomorrow, which happened to be the day that we were leaving, so that was no use to us. She said that this was he earliest that they would be able to remove the towels so we had no alternative but to keep the pile of dirty towels in the bathroom. Overall staff appeared ignorant and unprofessional, and the area felt extremely dangerous- we will not be staying here again and I would recommend other travellers to stay clear.

Pros:

The hotel roon was very different from the pictures on expedia and what they had advertised. it was in an unsafe part of Brussel. Rge hotel receptionist told us not to go to the direction of the train station as it was unsafe. Oyrside the hotels there were homeless people, gathered and talking with loud voice. Not what you expect to see in Brussels. Totally different from what they advertise. The internet service was allso not good.

Not Worth It
Pros:

Pros: Staff friendly and polite, rooms ok with a good size.

Cons: No hot water I had to take cold showers after walking around the city, really annoying.
Location, although it is close to the station the neighborgood is pretty bad, there are homeless right in front of the hotel and it did not fiel safe to walk with my wife at night. I'd say it is a must avoid for solo female travelers and families with Kids

Pros:

Urban Yard Hotel is a great choice if you’re arriving via Brussels Midi – it’s just a short walk away and very easy to find. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.

The room was a decent size, with a comfortable bed and a nice touch: a coffee machine. While the breakfast was quite average in terms of variety and quality, it’s an optional extra, so not a dealbreaker if you prefer to eat out.

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay here again.

Pros:

Clean, stylish and friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay here - very comfortable. Good air con and breakfast. Great location for Midi/Zuid station. Walkable to city centre. The immediate area is ‘edgy’ and quite run-down. I don’t think I’d feel safe on my own after dark but in daylight it was OK for the two of us.

Pros:

I was pleased by the hotel service and hospitality but I had a very bad experience in the area around. I was robbed in the day light and no one came for rescue. The area around the hotel is not save at all and not good for family. The hotel is in good condition but the neighborhood is very very shady. Please be careful when booking a trip and staying with family. Do not carry or wear any expensive stuff if you stay in this area.
