Had a very nice stay at the Ardlington hotel recently when visiting for business. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They brought my bag upstairs and were very kind. The rooms were clean and everything that was needed was there. I would be very happy to come stay again! The ambience of the hotel was lovely very cute and quaint. Sadly the restaurant was closed when I stayed but it looks very nice!
Cosy, family run hotel with perfect location for beach, pier and pedestrianised shopping streets. Medium size rooms with king sized bed. Shower over bath. Usual breakfast scene with individually cooked options on request. Owner was on hand and mingled with guests. Recommended.
Only slight issue was having to use a multi storey car park 2 roads away.
We booked for an afternoon tea. There was 8 of us in total. The afternoon tea was excellent, selection of sandwiches, scones both sweet and savoury, selection of desserts.
Simon and his staff were very attentive and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend going for afternoon tea or a meal.
The hotel does theme nights such as Fawlty Towers or Murder Mystery nights which will be next on the agenda for us.
I stayed in this hotel for A Bridge Weekend.
What I particularly liked about this hotel was the excellent food and extremely friendly staff who were always happy to accommodate.
The single room was adequate if somewhat a little dated. I saw A Double Room and that was very nice.
We had an annual dinner and awards evening here for our running club which we have done for the last few years. We were given access to a room for the awards and a room for the dinner.
The team were exceptional, helping us with every detail from the menu through to ensuring we had cables to play music and helping with seating plans. The awards room was set out theaatre style to enable us to undertake our event.
After the food was exceptional and reasonably priced. Everyone had a fantastic time.
The double room was very dark and small and I had to have the lights on all the time.. There was one window which faced the wall of the next door house. I was charged the same for this room as a much larger room on the front of the house. When I spoke to the receptionist, I was given the brush off. No lift and quite steep twisted staircase. Not suitable for older people. Yes I had difficulty in using the stairs.
Finally I was woken when the next door room showered. The noise of the extractor fan and running water
Great food, friendly staff and hotel is cosy. I asked for the room I was in last time I stayed and they accommodated me, as the room I was in last time was quiet.
I recently spent 2 nights here on a business trip, and ran training for 2 days here as well. The staff were simply amazing, so helpful, friendly, efficient and accommodating. The food was exceptional, especially for those with dietary requirements. The training room was well equipped and the perfect temperature. Definitely recommend!
Stayed here in August 2025, lovely hotel, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. Right on the beach, we were lucky to get parked right outside the hotel and stayed for one night. Rebooked for two nights in April 2026.
What a beautiful valentines weekend spent at the Ardington Hotel.
The room was clean, spacious and had a great seaview and overlooking looked the steyne gardens.
The facilities and welcome tray were fantastic, everything you could need. The bed was so comfortable and huge !
Indigo restaurant - the food is amazing and such a lovely dining experience, the room and atmosphere made it a very special evening.
The staff are seamless and friendly, thank you for making our weekend perfect.
Faultless 5 🌟
Stayed for one night for local family funeral, Lovely independent hotel, courteous staff, clean big bright room and bathroom. Overlooking the gardens, practically on the shoreline, Comfortable and private public areas even when the hotel was busy. Accomodated us outside of kitchen hours with afternoon tea sandwiches -
Lovely, cheerful, professional owner/manager (the porridge maker) would def recommend this hotel- in the centre of everything yet peaceful and quiet. Close to public transport - Also very friendly night concierge. Thank you 😊
21 of us had a lovely weekend at the Ardington playing bridge. Some of the rooms were a bit small but overall the experience was very positive. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the food was delicious. Thank you Richard and Simon. We will be back!
The bar area. The breakfast venue and staff.
Position of room which was directly opposite a conference room. Meeting started 6.30 am with people whistling and chatting outside room. The staff on the desk appeared disinterested in the fact that we were very disturbed just saying we could have had a room upstairs if we had asked. We were staying for a large group dinner which we come to every year. Last year we stayed at the Chatsworth which sadly has seen better days. We will seriously consider somewhere else next year.
Why put customers in room 18 when staff know there will be a conference? Why not ask customers if they would like an upstairs room even if we have to pay more?
Another great overnight stay
Parking always a concern
Room and breakfast were great.
Bathroom was perfectly clean and adequate but a little dated.
Lack of parking
Fabulous breakfast with lots of choices. Well cooked and nicely presented .
Staff were all incredibly helpful and positive
Excellent location for a business meeting as close to town centre, public transport and parking. The meeting room was warm, well appointed and a good size. The staff were very accommodating and discrete whilst serving refreshments, and Richard was very helpful and communicated promptly throughout the planning stage. The meal we had after the meeting was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thank you to all who helped to make this meeting and social evening successful.
