The bar area. The breakfast venue and staff.
Position of room which was directly opposite a conference room. Meeting started 6.30 am with people whistling and chatting outside room. The staff on the desk appeared disinterested in the fact that we were very disturbed just saying we could have had a room upstairs if we had asked. We were staying for a large group dinner which we come to every year. Last year we stayed at the Chatsworth which sadly has seen better days. We will seriously consider somewhere else next year.
Why put customers in room 18 when staff know there will be a conference? Why not ask customers if they would like an upstairs room even if we have to pay more?
Another great overnight stay
Parking always a concern
Room and breakfast were great.
Bathroom was perfectly clean and adequate but a little dated.
Lack of parking
Fabulous breakfast with lots of choices. Well cooked and nicely presented .
Staff were all incredibly helpful and positive
Excellent location for a business meeting as close to town centre, public transport and parking. The meeting room was warm, well appointed and a good size. The staff were very accommodating and discrete whilst serving refreshments, and Richard was very helpful and communicated promptly throughout the planning stage. The meal we had after the meeting was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thank you to all who helped to make this meeting and social evening successful.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food is prepared with such thought and care, catering to everyone’s needs and making sure no detail is overlooked. A truly wonderful experience!
This is not a complaint, as the staff are always so attentive and helpful, and I truly believe this was just an oversight. On arrival, I noticed the cups in my room still had drinks left in them from before. Everything else was wonderful as always, and I have no doubt it was a rare mistake.
Breakfast was lovely
The music downstairs
Very central and clean
Quite dated
This is our 3rd work Christmas do at the Ardington Hotel. It suits us very well. We book a private room for the dinner and then we can chat or dance a little in the bar. There is always a party atmosphere and the staff are always polite and helpful. The food is wonderful and we are never disappointed. Looking forward to 2026.
In all my years of travel, The Ardington Hotel is genuinely my favourite hotel.
I have stayed in countless hotels in the UK, across western and eastern Europe; the Middle East; Asia, Africa, and North and South America, yet there is something about this small family-owned hotel on the south cost of England that pulls at my heart strings - and I can't quite put my finger on a 'single thing' that makes this hotel so special, but it is.
It is a quintessential seaside hotel; that is run the way a hotel should be. I think the draw for me is mixture of the tradition; the way it is managed, the way it operates, the facilities and way the rooms are kept. It makes me nostalgic, but not in a 'dated' way, in a 'this is how things should be' way.
In an era of self check-ins and electronic key cards; at the Ardington you are met at reception with a smile where you sign your key card, a physical card slip that accompanies your key, that you turn in your lock...
I can't detail all of the nuances of this hotel that I love and, even if I tried, I would fall short miserably and would not do this beautiful hotel justice. I just implore you to try this hotel for yourself, and then you will understand.
Why chose a soulless corporate hotel, with a shower and a bed, and nothing more.,, when you can have an experience. Hotels like this are becoming rarer, don't miss out.
We recently held our staff Christmas party at the Ardington Hotel in Worthing for 120 people, and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, the experience was seamless. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and catered perfectly for our large group. The atmosphere was warm and festive, making it the perfect setting for our celebration.
The staff were professional, efficient, and helpful throughout, making sure everything ran smoothly for our group.
We couldn’t recommend the Ardington Hotel highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate to book again for future events. A brilliant venue all round!
