I am a Platinum member. I mention this only so you factor that in reading my review because I get a few benefits which all may not have.
Overall, I liked this hotel. Following are things worth noting:
1. Unlike most Marriott hotels this is an all Suites hotel (think embassy suites/residence inn but better).
2. Has an M lounge but it’s bare bones in terms of choices (less choices than usually available at least expensive hotels), especially compared to other M Clubs I have been to. It closes for breakfast at 9am all days.
3. This is one reason I chose not to even have breakfast during my stay. In essence, Embasay suites has better breakfast than this.
4. Customer service is excellent and accommodating.

Had a fantastic stay for the OC half. Check in was thorough and secure and our main point of contact Adrian was professional, kind, and helpful.
Nice hotel with large rooms and a friendly staff. Adrian was especially helpful and informative at check in.
The hotel is also very close to John Wayne airport and to the 505. Very convenient.
The hotel was nice and the room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly. Good location.
The parking was atrocious. The parking structure was detached with a long walk to the lobby. I didn't see an elevator and I had to park on the 3rd floor. Whenever I went to my car, I had to walk up and down the stairs carrying my own bags. I am 71-years old. Not impossible but harder than it should be. There is no valet and I saw only one cart to help with luggage the whole 2 days I was there. I won't be staying there again.
Adrian was amazing and the property is perfect. The staff at the Marriott was incredible. Thank you for the upgrade which was available to me as a Bonvoy member.
The experience was awesome. I would like to recognize a representative named Thanori that was so accommodating. She upgraded our room and made sure we had the best experience. It was our anniversary and She made sure we had a memorable experience. So accommodating. I would recommend this hotel for the beautiful rooms and especially the staff like Thanori. We will be returning for sure.
The Marriott Hotel in Costa Mesa features some of the most beautiful architecture. The rooms with a view of the pool are stunning—especially because it isn't just a pool; there is also a beautiful lake.
It is a multifaceted hotel where you can host conferences and corporate events, in addition to spending a wonderfully pleasant few days with your family. When I arrived, I was assisted by Adrian—an excellent, kind-hearted individual who provided exceptional service. He was wonderful enough to guide me to every place I needed to find in the area; he is a wonderful host, in addition to being a great front desk agent. was very pleased with the service and attention I received—especially from Adrian. This was particularly appreciated given how active my child is; Adrian went out of his way to find ways to keep my little boy entertained while we were checking in.
I would return to this hotel a thousand times over. For the view from the hotel, and for the pools—which were always clean. And for the lively atmosphere that is always present. It was wonderful spending time there with my family.

Excellent and very clean property. Entire staff from front desk to housekeeping were professional and friendly. Special thanks to Annie who checked me in 4/17. She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and appreciated as a titanium elite member. Great smile also!!
I like the room set up...it was very nice. I loved the two Tv's.
I was happy with everything, except the parking. It was very pricey. I do not feel parking for hotel guest should be so expensive.

She was so welcoming, charming, helpful, and truly made us feel very special after a long day. The property is gorgeous. The staff is superb and the food was very good.
