Our room was not clean. Microwave didnt work and after my 4th request, we finally got a portable microwave Saturday, after being there since Thursday.
People smoking all kinds of stuff all over the property. The bathroom light was literally leaking, the towels look dated. We had no choice but stay in the assigned room because there was nothing else available and was not allowed an early checkout
It was the most pleasant stay o have had the pool was excellent and the soundings are beautiful.

The exterior/ grounds of the hotel were dirty and dated, but we looked past that (garbage on the ground; plates and hanger outside our door). Upon entering our room, we were pleased with how spacious it was, but that was where our satisfaction ended. The carpet and couch were dirty and visibly stained. Molding was missing, wallpaper was bubbled and peeling, stained bedside table, mold on the bathroom wall and white duct tape was used to hold several things together. Overall, the cleanliness and condition of the room was way off the mark. In addition, the pullout couch was soiled and stained, and not fit for sleeping, as well as the blanket provided for it (there was no sheet). I did notify the front desk staff about both.
Due to the late hour of our arrival, we had no choice, but to stay there. I ran out to Walmart to purchase an air mattress to sleep on rather than staying on a soiled pullout mattress. The next day we checked out and found accommodations at another Sonesta a few miles away that was the same price and MUCH cleaner/nicer.
This accommodation was not habitable by me and my family. It was very dirty. Blood stains on the sheet, eating in the microwave, the toilet dirty, ..., you get sick. You have confirmed the cancellation in writing on site, but you do not respond to booking's relevant emails. They want to hide and I hope I forget. I have a signed confirmation from the frontdesk. Not a whole lot, the location maybe.
The gym was subpar, the exercise bike had a broken pedal, and there were two treadmills and a few dumbbells. They were missing one of the 35lbs ones. While they had a free breakfast, it started at 7 AM and if you’re there for a lacrosse tournament, usually you have to be out by 6:30 so it was not helpful to have the breakfast considering it started later than it should’ve there was a lot of dirt on the inside cabinet of the kitchen under the sink and our couch bed had a line of rust on the mattress sheet that came from the railing that supported it. The countertop in the bathroom was unusually low coming up to my hips, and I’m an average height person.
The breakfast was tasty and the pool was nice and I loved the second bathroom in the loft and the complete kitchen.
The bureaucracy was very difficult, adding an extra night was an awful waste of time and energy, the pool didn’t open until 10am and checkout is at 11 so I didn’t get to use it out last day. Meanwhile check in isn’t until 4pm and the staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. Also, the breakfast ends at 9, meaning they start taking food away and don’t replenish anything after 8:30am. Also, we got the one bedroom with a loft and the light and noise downstairs goes straight upstairs so I got woken up and couldn’t sleep while my parents were in the living room or kitchen area.

One of the beds had black marks on the comforter but front desk so no other comforters were available thank goodness we had some extra blankets with us
