We had a great experience! We stopped in for drinks, and I had the best Cosmopolitan EVER! My family and friends felt the same way about their drinks, too! Our bartender, Mike, was fast, fun, friendly, and made amazing drinks!
I can’t wait to come back to the hotel with more friends and family. Thanks for a wonderful experience! :)
This was a Naples hotel I was always curious about. We spent many years down the road at the Naples Beach and Golf Club. But now it has changed over. We settled on trying the Edgewater Beach Hotel. Great location which is right on the beach. Our room was a King which looked out to the beach and gulf. Very nice. In fact, the bedroom was probably one of the prettiest I've seen and was very large. The not so great was the restaurant. While breakfast was good, I found the dinner didn't knock my socks off. We did visit other Naples restaurants as we always do. This was a pleasant stay.
This hotel never disappoints. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This trip, Kevin and CJ but we’re working out on the beach side of the business were just amazing. Friendly knowledgeable and always willing to help. I highly recommend you find these guys and say hello!
I would avoid this resort. We booked through AMEX FHR and quite frankly I’m shocked this hotel is part of the program. It is anything but luxury.
1. The front desk staff and door men are not helpful. Upon check-in after confirming multiple times prior to arrival and with the front desk that there would be a crib in the room for my infant - there was not one and Top housekeeping over 30 minutes to arrive with one by that time my three month old already fallen asleep with my arms after a long travel day. The door men on multiple occasions chose to continue their conversations with the “concierge” instead of opening the door or helping when they saw me struggling, trying to open it while pushing a stroller.
2. The rooms are outdated and need to be refurbished. The dresser in our bedroom was missing the handle, one of the bedside lamps blew a fuse every time you try to plug-in a cell phone charger, which was a necessity because there were no other available plugs in the room. The dining table was so wobbly. My husband cannot even work at the table with his laptop.
3. Housekeeping was lacking. If they showed up to your room, they barely did anything and for “turn down” service one night - they left their cleaning supplies. When I called the front desk, they asked me to move the supplies to the hallway yet 12 hours later they were still sitting there.
4. The property has a mosquito problem. And yes, I understand this is South Florida however, we spend time at the Ritz half mile down the road and did not have any of the same issues..
5. The clean linen is stored in an underground parking garage, where guests are allowed to park. The linen is uncovered and located right next to where I saw multiple guests smoking… and not to mention the mosquitoes down there.
The only highlight would be the food served at the pool bar, but that only opens at 11. On our last day, we placed a food order at 11:30 and did not receive the food from the kitchen until 1245.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. The $60/day resort fee for limited amenities and services is ridiculous and we left feeling extremely underwhelmed by the experience.
I wanted to like Edgewater Beach Hotel, but it was a complete fail for my husband and me. We won't be going back. It was crowded with large families, which was fine, but consider this when you are booking. The two small pools simply couldn't accommodate that many people, they were packed. And the cleaning staff, couldn't handle it either. Each day we would leave early to go about our day of sightseeing and visiting family who lived in a nearby town, and by the time we returned, around 4:00, our room still hadn't cleaned. On the first day, they didn't clean until nearly 6:00, the second day it was never cleaned. The third day, my husband got up early and talked with management asking for it to be cleaned early in the day, when we returned it hadn't been cleaned. When we left that evening we called the manager asking if the housecleaning staff could please clean the room; we needed more toilet paper, the bed made, trash taken out, and more bottled water, etc. When we returned that evening, the room had been "cleaned" but we had no toilet paper and they never vacuumed. How could a resort that is on the beach not vacuum? Four days in a resort hotel and this is the service you get.
Edgewater Beach Hotel was a disgusting and gross disappointment. Yuck!
I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience deserves one.
On Friday, July 24, my young son developed a high fever. We politely asked the front desk if we could remain in the room for just one or two extra hours after checkout so he could rest before our trip. It was a simple request, made because of a genuine family emergency—not because we wanted a free late checkout.
The answer was an immediate and cold “no.” There was no empathy, no attempt to help, no alternative offered, and no sign of basic human compassion. We were forced to leave the room with our sick child despite explaining the situation.
Sadly, this reflected the overall attitude of the staff throughout our stay. They were consistently unfriendly, dismissive, and, at times, openly rude. We never felt welcomed, valued, or cared for as guests.
Hotels often advertise luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. None of that matters if, when a family faces a simple medical situation, the response is complete indifference. Hospitality begins with treating people with respect and compassion. In our experience, those qualities were completely absent.
We left deeply disappointed—not because we didn’t receive a late checkout, but because of the total lack of humanity shown when we needed understanding the most. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because no family should be treated this way.
We are returning guests of 20 years, quite simply this hotel feels like home, instantly relaxing and we know exactly what to expect
We ate at Coast and as always the food was delicious as was the food from the pool tiki bar
The hotel has a superb location right on the beach and there are plentiful beach chairs should you decide not to sit around the pools
The staff are polite and welcoming and our housekeeper/maid was lovely, nothing too much trouble and when I asked her to clean a coffee mark on the wall beside the bed she apologised it had been missed, these things happen
The room was looking tired but it was very clean, maybe it’s time for a refurb as it has been may years since the last one, for example the sealant between the shower wall and floor looked as though it has been repaired many times and was definitely not a professional repair, the bedroom furniture was very tired bordering on scruffy with quite a few dirty marks on the outside, the lamps have usb chargers built in but these are the old usbA so very dated and when did you stop supplying robes - my husband loves the robes!
Great to see the Keurig machines are back and we made good use of the guest laundry
Overall another good stay at the Edgewater Beach we just feel it’s time for a refurb of the rooms
All the staff were incredibly friendly. The food at the pool bar was delicious, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The in-room ice machine didn't work, and there were no machines accessible to guests, but the overall service was so good that this was just a minor detail.
I made the reservation three weeks in advance and was billed $902 nonrefundable. When I arrived, They charged the full amount, not discounting the $902 on my credit card. The day after I left I logged onto my credit card and they build me an additional $4257. When I called accounting, they tried to tell me that it could take up to a week to refund the first two amounts and that they were not actually charges, but simply holds on the money. As I have already paid the first credit card bill I can assure you that is not the case. Taking a week to resolve this issue is completely unacceptable.
Kevin, jamie and Alex are amazing. Very nice gentleman.
Great resort! Beautiful ocean front 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family. Very spacious and clean. Beautiful view from the balcony . The resort had everything we needed for a lovely spring vacation. Its close to restaurants/ shops.. about 10 min drive to 5th ave. They also have a shuttle available to 5th ave. Pool was great, very clean with a nice pool bar. Food was great too!
This was the first time my family and I stayed at the Edgewater. We were here to celebrate our daughter's birthday and it did not disappoint. Our 2 bedroom suite (1 King/2 Queen) was very comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless the plush bathrobes were a nice touch. It had a kitchen, livingroom and dining room. They even provided a mini Bluetooth speaker to use with an option to purchase. This was more than enough room for the five of us for two nights and should be quite comfortable for longer stays. It felt more like a home away from home than a 'hotel room'. Like at all Opal Collection resorts the service and hospitality was excellent. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.
We absolutely love the Edgewater!! It’s our home away from home! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The location on the beach can’t be beat. It’s just amazing!!
We had a fantastic time at Edgewater Beach hotel. The staff - manager Tony and receptionist Taylor were friendly and helpful.
We were in a large king suite with a balcoy and beautiful view of the ocean. Every morning a complimentary copy of the New York Times was delivered to our door. Additionally we had the Toes in the Sand package which included a delicious off the menu breakfast which had a wide variety of options. Each morning, our waitress Yasmine was warm friendly and professional .
The beachfront, pool and hotel lobby were spacious and clean. We never had a problem getting chairs and an umbrella at the beach or the pool. All servers on the beach and at the pool were friendly and accommodating. Excellent outdoor bar service as well. The guets at the hotel ranged in age from young couples to people in their 80's and all were friendly and courteous.
Complimentary cookies in the lobby each afternoon added a sweet treat.
At night if we left the hotel, the Edgewater shuttle was so convenient. THe driver Larry was personable and gave us excellent suggestions on where to make a dinner reservation. He was friendly and kindly took our photo once we reached out destination. For a return ride back, we simply called the front desk and Taylor sent the shuttle.
One of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had. Highly recommend visiting this hotel.
Dreadful house. overwhelming art deco pieces, roosters and art. Pool was fabulous: only saving grace. Floors marble throughout, dangerous.
Where do I begin..we choose the Edgewater resort as we were looking for a quiet beach front location…thankfully we were not disappointed.
We arrived later in the evening and were welcomed by the front desk.
Our suite is a King Ocean view with balcony. Our spacious kitchen has a microwave, a hot plate, an island as well as a dining table with seating for four.
The bathroom is spacious and has a safe and a closet as well.
The bed is comfortable, and the pillows are lovely. There is a large dresser and 2 night stands..lots of storage!
Our deck looks out to the ocean and two swimming pools.Very comfortable patio furniture as well.
The beach is only steps away …so beautiful and clean .The staff on the beach are very accommodating and also bring drinks and food to you.
We enjoyed our dinners at the Coast restaurant, and the portions were generous. I have to give mention to the beautiful floral arrangements..stunning!
All staff we encountered here have been wonderful but a special shout out to the maid service as they do an incredible job and are always so friendly as well as to the shuttle drivers.
Don’t be afraid to book this resort you will not be disappointed..we are already booked for the fall & spring🏖️🌞
It’s close to everything in the shuttle service is fantastic.
Basic essentials were lacking, like water temperature, housekeeping service and appliance access. Bar service was also disappointing. The beach and pool setup were the only bright spots.
Book a Naples view room on the sixth floor. It truly is quiet and relaxing. Plenty of opportunities to see the sunset and gulf views from the pool. The service is excellent. Every person I encountered was friendly and welcoming. The text messaging is extremely responsive from the hotel. Dinner at Coast was great too.
Delicious cookies in the afternoon.
Thank you for a wonderful stay !
This is an amazing hotel. The suites are large with full kitchen and large living space. The hotel food is great. The service is incredible. Plenty of towels at the pool and beach. Attentive staff. Free shuttle into town. Cookie buffet at 2. Nice beach and beachside service. Lounges included in the resort fee. Great all around experience. Will come back for sure!
