A good-sized, neat bedroom with a clean bathroom and very helpful staff.
I was unsure which hotel to book as Baku was a new city for me and I had no reference points. But this hotel was a great choice during the COP29 conference in November 2024.
The entire hotel staff were very gracious and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable on every day of our 1-week stay. My big thanks to Valide, Elçin, Said, Rahman and everyone else. You were all great.
No regrets booking this hotel!
A cozy little hotel with great rooms, breakfast spread and easy accessibility to all the tourist spots. Bolt taxi is always available for this location.
Special mention must be given to Elcin at the reception, Valida in the restaurant and the cleaning staff. They take great care of the guests and make everyone's trip a memorable one.
We stayed at Auroom Hotel for the 2024 Formula 1 Grand Prix. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and nothing was a problem. They made us feel at home. They organised food to be delivered from a local restaurant, laundry service and even change for the taxis. Hotel rooms and bathrooms were large. Good variety for breakfast and even a welcome bottle of wine on arrival. Highly recommend for families, friends, couples and singles.
We stayed a week in this hotel.
✅ good bed though like most hotels this side the doona never fits the bed so you get to play tug-o-war with your bed mate
✅ good breakfast with a wide selection and fresh daily and will top up if running low
✅ staff will order taxis organise washing and speak English
✅ easy walk to down town and up hill to return or get a cab
✅ 2 good restaurants across the road, great barber and bank is fairly close for an atm
Overall very nice, with excellent staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. But a few small things kept it from getting the fourth star. Duvet was too short to cover feet and shoulders at the same time. Bathroom stinks. And noise from place across street goes late.
The service was very nice, attentive and kind at all times. The rooms were clean. The hotel has a drain smell that they said they will fix. Three rooms had a very strong drain smell, but a fourth one, at least during the day was ok, at night got a bit of the smell. It’s not a central hotel, meaning, you have to walk or take a taxi to get to touristic attractions. Although the 2 restaurants just crossing the street are fantastic.
It is a small nice hotel . Rooms are good size, stuff is very friendly. Quiet street, and just opposite 2 nice big restaurants. Breakfast is a bit under expectations . The 4th level rooms are nicer for me with bigger size. not an expensive hotel in the same time.
Lovely place, great staff. A basic hotel but more than satisfactory. More a 3 star than 4 star.
The hotel is decent and the service is good. The people are pleasant, but they don't really care for you much. I made an extension for my stay and it was confirmed that they have booked my room. This was done 2 days before my scheduled checkout.
On that morning they told me they couldn't extend my booking. It seemed they took another booking which made them more money.
This was callous behavior. Sure with all the stay apps I found another hotel in 10 minutes, but what if I had a day trip planned out and then they informed me this?
Don't trust the people here. Do not ever make a booking with them, book with an online app because they get into trouble when they cancel it after confirming.
Arrived Auroom on the 3rd of July 2022 as booked in by a tour company. Staff (Rahman) was warm and welcoming. We were shown to room 305 which though neat, was quite small and had a strong sewer smell emanating from the bathroom. We asked to see other rooms in a bid to primarily escape the stench and hopefully get a larger room, we were shown room 201 which was a decent size room, we opted to stay but were asked to pay an upgrade fee which we did. This room 201 too did have a nasty smell coming from the bathroom, the staff (lied) that the smell would go away as it was only there as a result of non usage over the past few days. Next day the smell was even worse. Whenever we complained the staff would feign ignorance of the situation and make you look stupid or suddenly won’t understand your English anymore. Over the next few days I established that it was a long standing issue with the entire property as sometime we would arrive back after a night out to be greeted by the most unpleasant stench right from the lobby through the elevator all the way to the room. The bathroom stank so strongly that using it was near hell.
Also was the WiFi issue. The internet at the hotel was really bad and most times couldn’t load up
Your Instagram without frustrating you. I spoke to the intern who was running the night shift and he did offer another ssid which was a little better but not of great quality either. I figured three were no access points in the rooms rather the access points are on the corridors with room walls obstructing the signal.
It wasn’t all bad though, the hotel staff very very helpful, they helped with ironing clothes, once they brought up a wine opener in the middle of the night, the breakfast was basic but somewhat enjoyable and the house keeping was daily and refreshing. Also there is a lovely steakhouse right across the street called Rodizio that offered all you can eat grilled meat carved table side, they also had hookah which I found very refreshing.
As I’ve earlier said, my 2 stars is only for the staff and their warm hospitality, the property in itself is not bad or dilapidated but the awful smell is enough to ruin your holiday from the first day, if I had booked myself in, there is no chance in the world that I would have spent more than a night at Auroom, when we considered the stress of reaching out to a uae based tour operator and the prospects of losing valuable tour days due to moving hotels, we decided to endure.
Overall though the staff was nice, I found it quite distasteful that hotel management didn’t take any initiative towards recovery after incessant complains even thought they knew well that there was a problem with their property! The least they could have done was a free upgrade especially considering the fact that for a couple nights, we were the only guests at the hotel! Zero lack of ownership. I am a hospitality professional so I know how this should work. Also you’ll realize this hotel is conspicuously missing on booking.com, I can only imagine why the ratings on there would be. The Hotels does hav some b.com ratings displayed in the lobby, don’t be fooled.
If you are looking for a nice easy stay in Baku, overall I’d suggest you consider another property until at least this hotel can establish that the unpleasant smell issue has been fixed. Until then, I suggest you avoid the hassle of having to hold your breath!
Modern well equipped rooms. Good staff. Very good breakfast and great value for money.
The location is close to many places, but was not easy to access. Also, there was no bellman.
both front desk and manager are the best!!! they are the nicest and the most helpful employees ever met in baku!!! they speak good english and took care of us by exceededing my expectations!!! i recommend this hotel to you all!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!
The hotel looks old and small but its very clean and the staff are all very accomodating and welcoming. It is situated in a nice location. Accesible by bus, just few steps away from the hotel. It gets a bit noisy as some cars use the street as short cut but its tolerable. You will still have a good night sleep.
Breakfast is included on our stay and it was an oke breakfast not for heavy breakfast eater though. They offer the same variety during our whole stay.
They don't have room service as well.
If you need to iron clothes, you need to go down to the first floor.
Bed, pillow and linen used are not very new but very clean. Size of the bed is good for 2 adults and a max of 5yrs old kid. They also have connecting rooms but the walls in between are not thick enough and you can hear a little bit of noise from the other room.
Their toilet is always clean and they change the towels everyday.
Be ready to have europe plug as they don't have other option to plug any charger for phone or laptop
If you have BOLT application(like uber but cheaper rate) most of the interesting places like Funicular, Carpet museum, Old baku city, Nizam square is 12 to 15mins away from this hotel and it only cost a maximum of 3AZN.
There is a small convenient store and a 24hrs store accross the busy road.
I recommended this hotel to all who wants to visit in Baku Azerbaijan as we had a great and memorable experience. Great, hospitable and friendly people working in this hotel . They treat you like a Queen or King, available all the time with fast service. Great food and serve with a warm and smiling faces. I will definitely use same hotel when I travel back to Baku. Thanks to all the people working in this hotel for your great service and keep up the good work.
The hotel had a persistent smell in the room and when we first came it was really hot and they had not even started the air condition and it took a whole day to cool the room. Bufdet breakfast was space and disappointing and nothing like the images shown. It's far from places. The hotel is suppose to be a 4 star but really not that great a few staff are friendly but the reception staff are not really nice. Upon checking out there was a misunderstanding as a sanitizer spray bottle which was for use are suppose to be left in the room (which had no sign to say that leave in the rooms) of so had to pay money for a used up spray bottle that had no sign to say to leave it in the room. Also they said we took the international plug when in actuality one of the cleaning staff had removed it from the room and they had not informed the front desk while we are emptying out our backpacks to show we had not taken it. Overall a great disappointment of a 4 star hotel.
Very comfortable and clean place ,
With good location for many attractions,
Also they have wonderful staff ,
And the breakfast is very delicious.
I provide highly recommended for that hotel specially the families.
The Auroom Hotel was an amazing hotel to stay in . The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They are strict in respect of check in and check out times, as we arrived early and they could not accommodate us with early check in. Their breakfasts was delicious. The hotel room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The rooms are clean and well heated, the bed is comfortable, the housekeeping does a good job, the staff is polite and helpful.
The Owner is humble
The hotel is 10 mins by cab or 25 mins walk from the Nizami Square
The hotel is a BnB, so one wants to order food, you need to call the other restaurants around the area, which can take at least 45 to 60 mins (depending on how busy the restaurants are), there is a good Georgian restaurant bang opposite the hotel.
The WIFI is strong and fast
If you are looking for a quite and relaxing stay, this place will fit in your itenary well
Clean, fresh, quality rooms at great price. Good location within 15 mins walk of centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Felt comfortable and great value for money.
