Pros:

We stayed 2 nights here and found the experience pleasent. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke english very well, communication was easy. The neighborhood was quiet and charming, a short walk away from To-ji Temple and Umekoji park. Beds were comfortable, much more so than other hotels we stayed at. The room and bathroom were spacious. The only downside to the quiet neighborhood setting was it is a slightly longer walk to Kyoto station or restuarants and shops (Aeon mall is not far). Not a dealbreaker for us at all, would recommend and stay at again.

Nice hotel and value for the money
Pros:

Good location, within walking distance from Kyoto Station. Quiet and spacious room. Value for the money. Better if there are more hooks to hang clothes in the room and also in the bathroom.

Pros:

Nice clean hotel with very comfortable beds. Nice area in walking distance to Kyoto Station and a really nice park where the Aquarium is.

One thing we weren't happy with was that we booked a room advertised to have 2 single beds and 2 futons which I confirmed again with the hotel prior to our stay. When we arrived there were only the 2 single beds. We were told that the futons are only included for free to accomodate guests over 5 yrs old and since our child is 2 they made us pay extra to have a futon in the room. So it most definitely wasn't included in the room as it was listed and as I was told by staff prior to staying.

Very Nice Hotel
Pros:

A little walk from the Kyoto station, not too far but not super close. It is very modern, clean and quiet. We had a 4 person room, 2 beds and 2 futons. Our children loved it and we appreciated the space. The 2 person room is not spacious at all (we had family staying in one of the smaller rooms). Shopping and sights close by. Would stay here again.

Pros:

Interesting set up for a hotel. It's new, clean and beautifully decorated in a quiet location. Staff communication was great and helpful. However, the set up is that there are limited hours when there is staff available at reception. Not an issue for me during this stay.
Also has a very small lobby / common area.
It is located in a quiet area with not much nearby but its a 10 minute walk to kyoto station, which is can be difficult with luggage in the rain, but I knew this when I booked.

Pros:

Very stylish rooms, very comfortable and very good value. Kyoto transportation is not as easy as Tokyo or Osaka, and the area around is very quiet and do not offer too many choices of dinning. You will need to walk about 10 minutes to the Kyoto Station, which is fine for us.

Pros:

Wonderful hotel to stay at if you're looking to stay near Kyoto Station! It's about an 8-10 minute walk from Kyoto station, making it convenient if you're planning on doing day trips.

The staff are very kind and helpful, and you can tell they've made it very easy for English-speaking travellers to use the facilities. My room, a twin double, was very spacious, the bathroom was really generously sized (especially for Japan), and overall a very pleasant hotel. Definitely planning to book here again for my next trip!

Great value near Kyoto Station
Pros:

Hotel is new, twin beds comfy, rooms small with limited closet space and no drawers, includes small fridge and surprisingly good coffee and tea to use with hot water pot. Triples and above have 2 twins and futons. Limited desk presence, decent English spoken, no room service except fresh towels when requested. Shower and tub with all the toiletries. Location good but far walk or longish subway ride to imperial palace. Great room for the price.

Excellent modern hotel near JR (Japan Railway)
Pros:

The Rinn Kamiebisu Hotel was an excellent place to stay for our visit to Kyoto. It was so enjoyable that we stayed there on our way back from Hiroshima for our visit to Nara.
The staff speaks English very well, and cater to your every need. They were all pleasant to talk with.
The room with private bathroom was a good size, and it included a very comfortable double bed. It is very quiet, safe, and comfortable. Excellent food choices are easily accessible within a short walking distance.
An assortment of new personal items (toothbrushes and paste, hairbrushes, shower caps, razors and shaving gel, etc) were available in the room for our usage.
We would highly recommend the Rinn Kamiebisu. It is a short walk from the JR Station and the downtown area.
The WiFi was free and provided excellent Internet reception.
