Lots of amenities
A little dated
The room was large and comfy and bath large and well layer out.
No children’s menu. But the food available was excellent
Comfortable bed,convenient location
The suite we stayed in was very poorly equipped. Bare bones amenities, a total of 2 paper cups in the kitchen for coffee, no other dish ware, coffee was very weak low quality, found a cockroach in the bathroom.
Loved almost everything about this hotel. Clean, well-appointed, charming design. It is an older property but it's been kept up well and we really enjoyed our time there.
The only negative was the bed. The mattress was very, very soft, maybe worn out. Could have been worse, though.
cafe was too expensive and over valued. The website did say a continental breakfast was included, but unfortunately the front desk said they eliminated that a year ago.
Pretty property, restaurant food was delicious with nice ambience. The hotel rooms were very clean.
I have never stayed in a suite that did not have dish soap or kitchen supplies. There was nothing. I don’t travel with dishes, soap, paper towels, silverware, cups, etc. I was disappointed paying the extra money for suite to have no supplies.
It was also not very easy to get from the suites to the pool, especially with a stroller and kids.
Full size beds were small and also old. My back hurt laying in a rut and had to sleep in the middle to have back support.1
Very nice pet friendly and staff are great
We have coming to Ashland for 20plus years and have stayed at Ashland Hills mostly over that time frame. The new owners have discontinued the complimentary breakfast. It has been replaced it with a very limited and expensive breakfast options at Luna cafe. Kind of defeats the draw to stay here. It is also obvious the new hotel has reduced its staff although the ones that remain were nice. The hotel itself seems to be getting long in the tooth/dingy throughout and very dated. New paint and carpets in the rooms would go a long why to improve anyone’s experience. Our room in particular smelled like stale cigarettes or mold. I won’t be returning to Ashland Hills anytime. This review is meant to educate not bash the establishment.
The room was cleaned once during our 7 day stay and the room stunk upon arrival.
The location was great! The room was large and staff was kind.
The hvac was noisy and never heated up the bathroom because it was to far from a heat source. There was no heat lamp in the bathroom so it was freezing! Nothing in the so called kitchen like silverware or cups which was extremely inconvenient.
