We’ve stayed here before and liked that it’s a unique place to stay
After checking in, we were loading up the cart with luggage etc and the guy that worked behind the desk said there’s a problem with our room. The A/C didn’t work properly. So he offered a discount, free cancellation with refund of my payment or or points. We had arrived early and asked if there were other rooms available. He said no, that they had a fulll house that night. So I asked if everyone has checked in. He said no. I asked him to give me another room as I’m early. He finally did. I was a little annoyed about this
The breakfast was excellent--very pleasant room and well-prepared food with lots of options.
We were in a handicapped equipped room--the bathroom had a button to push for the door, but you still had to turn the knob to open it--a bit awkward, even for us who are not handicapped. Also, the water flow out of the shower spilled into the bathroom a bit.

Terrible communication. I sent multiple messages through booking.com which they never responded to. I called several times and spoke to staff members who said they would pass on my info, but I never heard back. I sent multiple requests for date changes, but the hotel would not respond to these either, although their policy states that you can change the dates. I lost my money through this unreliable hotel and would like to warn others not to book with them.
I was therefor business. Nice hotel and it was nice to walk around after work. Word of warning though if you get a basement room level 0 you can be located below the breakfast area. See photo below. You wont be sleeping after 6am as kitchen staff arrive to prep . After 7am all you hear is scraping of chairs above you. Avoid this area at all costs and you will find it a pleasant place to stay.
decent breakfast, the hotel itself is very interesting -- layout is a bit strange because it was a former courthouse. The room was actually a suite which was great.
