Location
Room was horrible, huge crack in the sink, rotating mirror was hanging barely in wall. Shower curtain had a rod hanging from ceiling which did not allow you to open shower fully. Iron was horrible and only leaked. I gave my ticket from the garage right next to the hotel. When checking out they said they did not have it on file and were trying to make me pay additional for it. The bar in the lobby which was not crowded took over twenty minutes after we ordered our drinks to actually get them. We only ordered a miller lite and Blue Berry martini

The toilet had issues flushing, the refrigerator in my room did not work, there were no carts to help carry luggage, and no microwave in the room
The showers are a bit outdated
The lobby smelled like someone got sick and they didn’t clean it up well enough.
In center city
Two Rooms, Two Rat Sightings. I Would Not Recommend This Hotel.
My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had.
I was originally staying in room 709, where I personally saw a rat. I immediately reported the situation and was moved to another room. I appreciated being relocated, but unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. After being moved, I personally saw another rat in room 2011.
Seeing a rat in one hotel room is disturbing enough. Seeing rats in two separate rooms on completely different floors during the same stay raises serious concerns for me about the property’s pest-control and sanitation conditions.
There were other problems as well. Water was leaking around the window in my room, to the point that I had to put a towel down myself to absorb the water.
The lack of basic amenities made the experience even more frustrating. Reviews and older information about this hotel mention a pool, but there is no functioning pool available during my stay. The rooms also do not have microwaves. After having pasta delivered, I called and asked for cutlery and was told they had none available. At approximately 1:00 a.m., I had to walk to another hotel just to get utensils so I could eat my food before it got cold. Reheating it wasn’t exactly an option either—unless I planned on starting a campfire in the room.
I understand that hotels can have maintenance issues and unexpected problems. What I cannot overlook is being moved from one room because I saw a rat, only to encounter another rat in the replacement room.
For the price of a stay at a DoubleTree by Hilton, expecting a clean, dry, rodent-free room and basic necessities such as eating utensils is not unreasonable.

Rodents on property and we have a problem contacting a decision maker with booking.com. We would like a refund which should be very simple but we have to get our lawyer involved. I could post a photo of the rat if you would like.
The location is awesome and they have garage nearby!
