Fantastic hotel
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel, staff are so helpful and nothing is to much trouble. We stayed in the tower room with four poster bed which was warm and comfy with amazing views. Breakfast and Evening meals were excellent. Would definitely stay again

Good value for money
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money. Nice to have breakfast included in the price.

Cons:

The bed was a little uncomfortable and the en-suite was quite small.

Very pleasant old world charm that, like so many small hotels, is 'lived in' but comfortable
Pros:

Lovely elevated position leading to excellent views at breakfast and dinner. Both were good vfm. The steak was excellent! The walk into town was quite a stride so mobility has to be good. The downhill walk to the beach was steep but charming. We loved the comfortable old world charm of this historic building. Not one for those wanting ubber modern minimalistic all hard surfaces. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Cons:

Not really a dislike but a point for improvement I think. The front door and around the outside of the entrance could be more appealing...first impressions count!

Pros:

Location, very helpfull staff. Freshly cooked food to order. Cod instead of Haddock on menu

Pros:

The room was a good size, We ate in the restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. We stayed in the turret which was nice. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. Definitely wow factor when you walk in.

Cons:

The smell of sewage on arrival outside the front door was really strong. The whole place could do with a bit of a revamp but I do understand its an old property. Behind our bed was very dusty ,I only know this as was looking for a plug socket and because the room is round the bed dosnt fit flush. The bathroom is tiny and so is the shower cubicle. Takes a bit of manoeuvring to get in.

Beautiful building & stunning views
Pros:

Beautiful building perched on the hillside with stunning views over the sea. My room had a balcony and wide sea view that I wasn’t expecting. Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean and all amenities you could need.

Cons:

The building is old (and beautiful for it) but it does mean it has a few creaks from other guests moving about but residents are hardly partying late so not a huge problem!

Relaxing and fabulous .
Pros:

Location great , food outstanding , owner couldn’t help enough , barman/ waiter went above and beyond to address our needs . I understand some areas of hotel maybe a little dated but that in my opinion added to the charm of this gem of a place . I will have fond memories of my stay there. Thank you to all .

Cons:

I have no negative feedback for this place . The 2 days I spent there gave us time to relax .

Staff lovely but the hotel does need updating
Pros:

I liked the breakfast but would have liked more choice.
The evening meal was good and well worth the money.

Cons:

I did not like the narrow stairs and the chipping stone’s
leading to the front door it was very hard when you have a walking stick.
