Get spot close to Sanibel without Sanibel prices
Pros:

Can't beat the location. We were looking for something close to Sanibel. The hotel is comfortable and clean. We have stayed many times before. The price is getting higher all the time but.......

This didn’t seem like a $200 per night value
Pros:

The bed/pillows were comfortable. The room was dark and quiet. The pool area was very nice. Pool furniture was nice. The was a screened patio you could eat breakfast in.

Cons:

Needed some attention. Outside walkways need paint and cement repairs. We paid an extra $10 per day for a pool view. It was the top of a palm tree view. It had a nice little laundry room. It was $7.50 to wash/dry one load. They have no change on site. We asked several times. Buy sone rolls of quarters for your guests! Breakfast was mediocre. Sometimes the scrambled eggs were burnt. Sausage swimming in an inch or so of grease.

Short stay of necessity
Pros:

Updated spacious room; clean.

Cons:

Although the room was updated design, there were two things that stylistically don't work well in a hotel room:
The wall mounted bedside lamps seemed like an odd design choice or the purpose - located high above the bedside table requiring one to stand or sit up in bed to reach the on-off switch.
The barn-door type entry to the bathroom does not close-off the bath light completely such that the person sleeping on the near side of the bed gets a shot of light when another is in the bathroom.
Be nice if there was some coffee and a muffin/fruit available to-go at 6:30 am for those like us who had to checkout early to get to the Key West Ferry in Ft Myers beach. I think breakfast didn't officially start until 7AM.

Warm Sunshine at nice pool.
Pros:

The place is okay, the pool and grounds were very nice. The room was dark and dreary. The breakfast was mostly not to our taste but it was extremely generous a varied and the service was excellent. The place seems to attract a nice class of regular friendly people. Overall it is a bit pricey for the dated facility but I guess you go to Florida in the winter for the warmth and sunshine.

Cons:

No complaints. Good overall.

Cons:

Le personnel est désagréable, quand on demande un lit bébé on nous répond que ce n’est pas possible et que si on n’est pas content qu’on nous annule la réservation.
C’est à nous de mettre les draps sur notre lit, le ménage n’est pas fait complètement. La salle de bain n’est pas propre avec beaucoup de traces de moisissures.

Attention ne vous baignez pas dans la piscine sinon vous risquez de voir votre maillot de bain décoloré.

One nighter - tolerable.
Pros:

Good location for Key West Ferry Travelers as a night before or after since ferry leaves early morning, arrives after dark. Other than that, it doesn't appear to be particularly close to desirable resort areas but does have a nice pool for those seeking a budget vacation. Breakfast was good.

Cons:

Been nicer if the AC worked and the toilet didn't start to leak fresh water slowly on floor! But since the fan / natural air temperature was within our tolerance level we didn't notify the front desk until checkout.
