Great location and amenities
cost of food and drink in the hotel
The rooms are spacious enough and beds were comfy. Pillows were SUPER comfortable and wish I could buy them! The property has a nice pool and fire pits though we did not use them. Easy walk to Queen Mary & aqua taxis. Housekeeping was efficient and did a great service of the room each day.
Limited counter space in bathroom & no free amenities (makeup wipes etc). I also personally didn’t care for the scent of body wash items. Front desk wasn’t as knowledgeable about local attractions as I’d thought they’d be. No valet- but the spacious parking was nice bc you could run to your car to grab forgotten items. Note there is no beach… a small sandy area on property but not beachside. No nearby restaurants other than the one on property but we just drove or took water taxi to downtown .
Very spacious
The water wasn’t hot enough
Dear Hotel Maya Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding both the customer service I received and the lack of information provided during my stay.
I called the front desk to ask about my security deposit and spoke with Ron. Unfortunately, he was very rude, dismissive, and unwilling to answer my questions professionally.
When I checked in, I specifically asked the front desk associate what could be deducted from my deposit. I was clearly told that only charges I made to my room would be deducted. At no point was I informed about a parking fee or a destination fee. Had those charges been explained at check-in, I would not have been surprised when reviewing my account.
When I called to ask for clarification, Ron told me it was not their job to explain those fees. I found that response unacceptable. It absolutely should be the responsibility of hotel staff to provide guests with accurate information about any charges that may be applied to their account, especially when a guest asks directly.
I also asked to speak with someone else, but Ron refused and instead told me he was going to disconnect the call because he felt we were “not communicating.” When I asked how I could file a complaint, he told me there was no one I could speak to.
I am extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. I expect hotel staff to treat guests with courtesy and professionalism and to provide accurate information about hotel policies and fees. I would appreciate a response addressing both the misinformation I received at check-in and the unprofessional customer service I experienced during my call with Ron.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to your prompt response.
Great view of Long Beach harbour. Large room with great view from balcony. Great breakfast on the patio with view of Long Beach Marina.

Wasn’t to clean
Sehr freundliches Personal in allen Bereichen. Wunderschön ist der Ausblick der Restaurantterrasse bei offenem Kaminfeuer!
Der Poolbereich könnte noch schöner gestaltet werden (Pflanzen), ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden.
Beautiful views. Polite staff. High ceiling in the room.

Really big rooms, seemed clean and spacious.
We loved the fact there were plenty animals around, from pelicans, cats, seagulls and other birds.
The young guy on the reception was so friendly and tried to make our stay warm and welcome.
Definitely pricy parking.
The location was horrible, I wonder where the high reviews are coming from on the location part? Is near the biggest port, industrial zone, it must be awful having room looking at the harbor.
Bar in the hotel is very expensive, and we were coming from the 5* hotel in San Francisco, however this one beats all prices. We wouldn’t book this hotel again, sorry.
The location in a quiet part of Long Beach and the rooms and views were great
No pool towels at the time of our visit, informed front desk multiple times with no action, then came check-out where room key cards were supposed to be left with the person at the parking booth but no one was there, had to go back to reception, it seemed like they were under staffed.
I like the atmosphere
The parking is ridiculous. $45 a night way too much. The pool needs to be a little warmer, and we slept with the cricket all night long
