There was no breakfast as thier kitchen was "broken" No food being served in the evening when we got there but staff pointed out nearby pubs serving food. We drove to Greggs the morning for breakfast.
The pub shut earlier than we thought, we ate out then came back around 8.45pm and the pub was closed.
I was surprised when I got there that the pub appeared to be closed. The sad thing is because work was being done there were no kitchen facilities which meant no food was available on site. That was a shame as they have a good reputation for their food.
However the staff were friendly, and the room was nice. TV needs replacing as very dark and pink images.
Very spaceous room with a comfortable double bed, newly refurbished bathroom with tea & coffee facilities in the room.
Good parking space and friendly accommodating staff.
I could not access the Wifi in the room, depends on what one is looking for, the country pub is located outside Sheffield with close access to the M1.
Friendly welcoming staff. Very dog friendly with no extra cost.
Dogs where meant be kept on leads but not the case for the locals, dogs off leads while oub open, the dogs was being left outside not attended jumping up hotel guests. Other guests had to wait for dogs to go in before being able to leave the facilities.
Needs a bit of tlc as it has the makings of a good pub and hotel
Owners were lovely and helpful
Very dog friendly! Stayed with my Newfoundland, so not the smallest dog.
Friendly land lady and staff
Excellent shower
Comfy bed
Good sized room
Didn't look to have been cleaned...stuff in beside drawer from last guest etc
Poor quality bedding, pillows & towels
Great stay food was exceptional
Room was ok ,could really do with a lamp or some sort of lighting near bed . Tv's could do with updating as only 1 channel
Also when checking in you should be informed breakfast is not included in the price this is an extra £7.50 ,and they didn't have enough sausages and the ones they cooked had seen better days
Grond floor lack privacy other people staying verry noisy on sweet bathroom was discusting beer gardan at side of room window
When we arrived we were welcomed & we stayed for evening meal before heading to a wedding reception. The room was ok & clean. However going down to breakfast we were informed by the cook that it would be £7.50 each for breakfast even though had an email to say breakfast included. She advised we go to local Wetherspoons and asked us not to give her a bad review. She had no intension of cooking any breakfast to anyone, which annoyed all guests. I feel they should refund my breakfast money as had proof of it being included. I would have recommended the hotel but they have no business responsibilty and more than happy to spread the word of a disapointing service
Staff were very welcoming. Room was very clean. Beds have seen better days but linen was pristine.
Breakfast was very good.
Meals in pub were also very good.
Music on Friday night was good.
It was really homely and wellcomeing the staff were very friendly and helpful
Got there ,over booked so no room at the inn took 6 hours to get a room elsewhere, piss poor
Great environment, pub is lovely, staff are friendly, food was great room looked lovely. Only complaint from stay was that the beds were broken but repaired, my sons had a bar across whick luckily he didn't feel as he's 6 stone wet. Great stay for the price though and breakfast was beautiful.
Good value for money, could do with renovating and mattresses replacing as the springs dug into you. The breakfast was fabulous maybe this could be changed into self serve to offer a quicker service.
No comments you have to see for yourself food was good room a bit to empty
Great value for money. Very convenient location. Good food.
le propriétaire est très serviable et très intentionné, le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié
l entretien de la chambre est bien fait.
We loved the atmosphere of a traditional pub with good music and very friendly people which relaxed us after a stressful day and led to a good night's sleep. We'll be going back next time we have to be in Sheffield.
