Many shops
Excellent value, modern clean rooms, polite staff, good shopping and restaurants close by. Safe for families, but no drinking water in room.
clean, nice area, staff nice and friendly.
Clean and great staff service. Affordable and great location.
Doormen were extremely nice and polite. Front desk staff were plesant. Room was clean. Bathroom drain not draining fast enough. I just don't like standing on half inch of water while showering. Only 1 pillow provided, had to ask for 2 extra pillows. No hand towels, no face towels; just bath towels. No bottled water either. They sell it at concierge for P20/bottle. Bedroom was small but clean. Ok for short stay, but bring your own toiletries.
Love this hotel
Very friendly staff, extremely clean rooms, and convenient location. Will be going back. :)
Staffs are very accommodating
Great staff attentive and very helpfull- a true Gem
I checked into Red Planet BGC – The Fort around 9 AM after a red-eye flight from Jakarta. My stay was for 3 days and 2 nights, from July 25 to 27. For a budget hotel, it really impressed me where it mattered.
+ Check-in was smooth, even with my early arrival. The front desk handled it efficiently
-I Have to wait until check-in time due to no rooms availabel for early check ins. no big deal, since they offer to store my luggage so I can go around the BGC area.
+The room is compact but cleverly laid out. There’s a comfy bed, reliable Wi-Fi, good lighting, and plenty of power outlets. The aircon cooled the room fast, which was much needed after stepping out into Manila’s heat, except for my first night where the storm rages on.
+The bathroom was clean, with strong water pressure and consistent hot water. And yes, this hotel has a bidet. I repeat, a bidet. Whoever designed this bathroom deserves blessings.
Blanket and pillow are provided, and the bed was firm in a good way. I had no problem catching up on sleep even after a bumpy red-eye flight.
Speaking of which, my flight came in during Typhoon Co-May (Emong) at its peak speed. The plane was surprisingly stable, and so was my sleep afterward.
-No *free* bottled water, slippers, or closet. But that’s expected for this price. Just bring a water bottle and your own house slippers.
for slippers they sell the comfort kits at the front desk.
+Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. Close to Uptown Mall, Mitsukoshi, and other malls that I cannot name and BGC hotspots like mcd, kfc, jollibee, dunkin, lawson, bonchon, with a 7-Eleven just across hotel for last-minute essentials.
💡 Tips:
* Bring your own drinking water or grab one from 7-Eleven.
* No closet, so pack light or use your luggage creatively.
* Use the Red Planet app for faster check-in and discounts.
* Umbrella, waterproof backpack covering and/or raincoat or at least water resistant jacket *is*a*must* when travelling to Manila
* If your phone doesn't support IP68, your choices either buy a waterproof case or suffer in silence, you have been *warned*
Overall, this is a solid pick for anyone who just needs a clean, cool, comfortable place to sleep without unnecessary frills. I’d happily book again for quick trips around BGC.
Good, clean for short stay
I had a nice stay
No frontdesk personnel answering phone after 6pm??? What if the guest has an urgent need to call you??? And the adjacent room is noisy...
Affordable. But there is no function room, no dining room, no breakfast. No AC in the elevators and hallways. I guess they put all of it in the lobby (it was cold). It is located near to almost everything. McDonald's, Starbucks, church is just across the street. Grocery/mall (Landers) is just a block or 2 away. They don't provide any information about tours. Their ride is from a third party.
Clean but only two pillow for king bed
Hotel is cleaned
Rooms are small but have everything you need
No breakfast
When you you cant cancel
It was dirty, we arrived and on the way to our room there was trash all in the hallway. Then got to our room and found hair everywhere. I was thinking ok this is what you get for cheap but moved the sheets and it was obvious that they never changed the sheets. Someone just slept in that bed. We decided to lose our money and checked out.
Good area, clean and friendly staff. We stayed a couple of times here before and after island hopping. My only complaint is that during our first stay the shower soap was empty and we asked them 3 times to fill it over 2 days and no one did it. We eventually asked the cleaning staff to do it on the hallway.
Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Room was clean with comfy bed
