Pros:

Loved the hotel and had a great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Only complaint was our tv didn’t turn on and our wind drain was closed and couldn’t open it so water wouldn’t drain our first night. They came and fixed it for us the next day and after they left we realized the volume wouldn’t turn up at all. We just gave up at that point.

Exceptional Service from Tracy F.
Pros:

Cons:

We had to get moved from one room to another because the room was flooding. Once we got to our new room our bathroom flooded and messed you up some of our clothes!

Making reservations, don't hold your breath!
Pros:

We have stayed at this hotel 20+ times over the last year due to my wife going to UAB. When booking on-line from their website, you can add an "additional guest" so that they may check-in when the person that makes the reservations does not go. The staff always gave my wife issues checking in if I was not there.
If you make reservations, don't hold your breath. We had reservations for 2.25.26 that were made on 2.21.26. On our way to Birmingham, I received a call from the hotel asking if we still needed the room? I told them yes, we were on the way. When we got to the hotel, the hotel management cancelled our reservations anyway. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Do not recommend staying here. It is way overpriced as well.

We paid a lot for this room because it was a Hilton. Very disappointed.
Pros:

Staff was rude. Room was filthy. Food in the restaurant was subpar. Phone in the room didn’t work.

Service above and beyond!
Pros:

Some of my co-workers were to come in for a trade show, but weather prevented it. We had a marketing item shipped in advance, and Tracy F. helped us retrieve it, and get it shipped back to us by UPS. Terrific service, thank you!

I always stay here when visiting UAB. My daughter is now a freshman so I will frequent this hotel.
Pros:

It is super convenient to the UAB campus. My daughter is an athlete and loved seeing the updated UAB pics on the wall.
