We stayed the weekend for my birthday, and it was fantastic. The staff were top notch, and the hotel itself was nice. We made a last minute reservation after our initial accommodation proved to be the opposite of what we wanted. We were so glad to be able to get a room and wake up to a beautiful layer of snow. Overall, the weekend turned out great, and the hotel and staff saved the trip!
The staff are what makes this place! They were so accommodating during a winter storm. They opened the restaurant during non-business hours, and checked in to mae are we had everything we needed! Thank you!
It was cold outside, but the hotel was nice and cozy. The fireplace in the lobby was a great touch. And fresh coffee throughout the day was perfect! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Great location, very clean room, easy parking and great staff. I will stay here again.
Everyone we encountered who worked at the property was so kind and welcoming. From the minute we arrived, the front desk gentlemen who helped us were fantastic and accommodated moving our rooms so we could be closer together. The woman at the bar was super friendly. Even our waitress and the manger at the restaurant for breakfast were very kind. Just one night but a great stay!
Great looking hotel, decorated in a cozy and classy design. Close to everything. Restaurant was good.
We loved everything.
Great staff. They are very polite. You can easily tell, that’s a good work environment for them. Besides that, very close to restaurants and bars. I would definitely come back.
Nice place to stay a great staff. Nice buffet breakfast. Some parts seem a little dated, but the room was very nice shape.
Liked the location in relation to restaurants. Room temperature was comfortable and very adjustable. Lobby was very nicely decorated.
Hotel maybe needs a few updates. I would prefer hard flooring in rooms vs carpeting and the lighting could be a little better. The elevators seemed very old and shaky which made me uneasy. Also, for our size of conference, only 2 of the 4 elevators were operational for guests which caused some waiting time.
The breakfast was amazing! The staff was great! Very clean environment and quiet! Beautiful mountain views.
I loved everything.
Jacob at the desk in Asheville was especially helpful with our check in. We at first had tried to use our points and had difficulty but he solved the problem. We loved our room. And breakfast was great!!
We came to Asheville to shop for a piece of art to bring to our home in Durham as we wanted to support the local artists, especially after the destruction from Helene.
Robb at the front desk was absolutely amazing. No matter how long it has been since my last visit, he always remembers me and makes me feel truly welcomed and valued every single time.
Somia at the Writer’s Bistro is the perfect way to start your day. Her kindness, energy, and outstanding service are so refreshing and instantly put you in a great mood.
If you want an incredible omelet, you must have James prepare it. He makes them to absolute perfection every time.
My room was spotless, and the housekeeping staff consistently greeted me with warm smiles whenever I passed by, which truly added to the comfort of my stay.
Don’t just take my word for it experience it for yourself. I guarantee you’ll be saying the exact same thing about every one of the team members I mentioned.
This hotel was nice - looks like it went through a pretty recent renovation, but still some of the furniture appeared a bit dated. The hotel had a lot of parking in back, which was great and it was walkable to all the shops and restaurants. There was a bit of a wait for breakfast in the morning - I had free breakfast coupons but wouldn't say its worth the price, if you have to pay the full amount (I think it would've been like $30 PP) and it was continental breakfast basically. They had an omelet station and waffle station but the line was long and we didn't have time to wait. Overall, would definitely go back!
Everything!
Nothing!
The hotel is centrally located, however needs some work. It's a bit dated. On several occasions we had dirty napkins/utensils/dishes and had to get them replaced when in the restaurant. The elevators sound like they need some WD40 to quiet them down when the doors close and at least the "9" button on the first elevator to the left does not light up at all. I expected alot higher quality from Renaissance.
Sandy and the staff at the hotel are fantastic! Very attentive and courteous. They made our experience amazing. I highly recommend this location.
This hotel seems like it used to be much nicer. The large pool was under construction, all the taps on the bar were broken (according to the bartender), the elevators were painfully slow, and the front desk help was very nice but even slower. Some things we loved-- the comfy beds, walkability. Worst part of our stay was the weird barn style bathroom doors that would keep the front door from closing.
