The property needs an update. Paint bathroom caulking. Wallpaper looks older but it was a comfortable room and quiet. Staff was very slow at check in. There should never be a line of 20 people when guests arrive. Getting people check in should be a priority. 5 desk clerks but they were extremely slow. Hotel needs to work on this..one lady doing nothing and two on one desk. Any training or unnecessary should stop all hands should be on deck when a line that long forms.
A little older…it could be a very nice hotel. If the hotel was updated.

The room was clean, bed comfy etc etc. Use the valet parking.
The hotel overall looks beaten up from the outside, rooms are decent, can be more updated. Wifi was slow, staff response was by far low. Cable TV was out for the whole day. Noise can be bad as it is right by the Plaza road where some morons with loud exhaust from car and bike zoom by like every other day. Elevators are worn out. The beds are soft, not very comfortable. The only thing good is the location of the Plaza where the shops are restaurants are 4 - 6min stroll. Their so called "roof-top bar" is a joke. it is more of an enclosed area, not open air and there is no bar!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Really great staff. Loved the lobby, and the fireplace was a nice area to hangout between activities. Bed was super comfy.
Desserts with Don, is one of my favorite things about staying at the Intercontinental Kansas City at the Plaza.
