Schönes Hotel mit teilweise erstklassigen Zimmern zur Bucht
Pros:

Die Lage in der Bucht von Camara da Lobos ist großartig. Der Blick aus den vorderen Zimmern in die Bucht ist sensationell. Der Liegebereich am Pool ist ok. Das Frühstück ist wirklich gut mit vielfältiger Auswahl.

Cons:

Es gibt 2 Wohnbereiche: im Haupthaus mit Zimmern nach hinten grenzen an die Restaurants und sind laut. Abgesehen vom Frühstück, sollte man das Restaurant zum Dinner meiden. Ich bin nicht überzeugt, dass es einen gelernten Koch im Betrieb gibt. Der Fisch ist lieblos und geschmacklos angerichtet, dafür wird das Gemüse mit einer Knoblauch-"Sose" übergossen. Das Alles ist wirklich traurig, weil man schön sitzt mit Blick auf die Bucht.

One word…. fantastic!
Pros:

Breakfast and dinners were delicious. We especially enjoyed the espatada and fish dishes, prepared to perfection. The service was also excellent.

All staff members were professional, helpful and courteous.

Cons:

Everything was great!

Pros:

Great location on the harbour right in town and beside all the restaurants & bars. Staff very helpful. Complimentary chocolate & water on arrival nice touch
Nice roof top restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Food good.

Cons:

Our room was small. The shower control was awkward to use. We were on ground floor and the hedge in front of our window blocked the sea view we were expecting.

Nice hotel in a lovely setting in a very picturesque bay
Pros:

Great location. Loved balcony and pool and very good breakfast.

Cons:

Allocated a disabled room, which we hadnt booked but moved to another.
Broken balcony chair, wasn't fixed same day but then we moved.
Second room water pressure very low but put up with it.

Wow from start to finish super clean accommodation maids daily staff friendly. Very modern and well looked after. Breakfast was good.Wasn't to impressed with there restaurant. Had a bit of issue but was resolved respectfully,

Das Hotel "Pestana Churchill Bay" ist sehr zu empfehlen!
Pros:

An dem Hotel gibt es nichts auszusetzen: Super Lage, schönes Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück und sehr nettes Personal. Die gut deutschsprechende (!) Rezeption hat unsere Ausflüge perfekt organisiert. Man benötigt hier eigentlich keinen Mietwagen. Wir wurden zu allen Ausflügen vom Hotel abgeholt. Und da gibt es ja auch noch den sehr preiswerten Busverkehr: Camara de Lobos nach Funchal für 2,65 EUR! Alles in allem waren das perfekte Tage!

Happy to recommend this hotel
Pros:

We stayed in a room located in the main hotel overlooking the bay. Comfortable bed, decent sized room with a smallish bathroom with an adequate shower.
Very good, helpful, friendly and profession staff (inc reception staff, bar staff, those serving breakfast and looking after the pool side and sauna facilities).
Very fortunate that our room was ready when we checked in and had access to drop of suitcases etc.

Cons:

Update the bathroom and provide more hangers in the wardrobe.
