Pros:

Très bel hôtel avec une magnifique terrasse pour le petit déjeuner et le farniente à la piscine.
La décoration est de style britannique pour rappeler le passage de Winston Churchill en 1950.
Personnel aux petits soins pour les clients.

Cons:

Notre séjour s'est déroulé pendant la fête du sabre noir, et notre chambre était à 50m de la scène, avec musique jusqu'à 3h du matin pendant 4 nuirs et agents d'entretien qui passaient les souffleurs dès 7h donc les nuits n'ont pas été les meilleures. L'hôtel nous avait prévenu de cette fête 15 jours avant notre arrivée (alors que nous avions réservé 4 mois avant), ce qui était trop tard pour réserver ailleurs car les hôtels étaient complets à cette période. La réceptionniste m'a informée qu'il y avait des fêtes toute l'année à Camara de Lobos, ce qui en fait un village très animé et d'ailleurs un des plus charmants de la côte sud de l'île mais il ne faut donc pas y chercher le calme. Ou alors prévoir les boules Quies.

A mixed bag - lovely staff but cheap management.
Pros:

The staff were lovely. Helpful and attentive. Dinner was excellent, a good menu and well prepared food. The facilities were clean and well organised.

Cons:

The air conditioning was sporadic at best and the ventilation only worked on one occasion. The alley at the rear of the property is noisy into the small hours. This left us juggling the street noise and suffocation. Breakfast was substandard. Shortages of basic items such as scrambled egg and croissants and cheap ingredients such as synthetic bacon and factory chipolatas.

O quarto é muito confortável.

Absolutely disappointed in the pitiful upkeep of this property.

This hotel was extremely disappointing from the get go. I’m truly flabbergasted the hotel has such high reviews online after seeing the condition of the property in person. Multiple very visible and gross stains on the carpet leading to our room — unacceptable for a 4 star property. The walls in reception and the hallway were damaged in multiple places, as well as dirty and scuffed. The room itself was decently clean at first inspection, but the bathroom was very musty / moldy smelling with multiple mildew stains in the shower & toilet area. We were supposed to stay 4 nights but immediately asked to check out early and get a refund. We were offered a half refund - we took it because staying here would have ruined our vacation. Not happy to have had to pay for 2 nights here when we only stayed one. Would never go back nor recommend to anyone.

Wonderful, restful brrak
Pros:

Comfortable hotel with lovely staff. Breakfast is great. Housekeeping first class. Rooftop pool with fabulous views across the small bay.
Restaurant does not look special but we have just eaten the best clams, sea bass and scabbard fish ever. Location and atmosphere are wonderful. Relax and stay for as long as you can
