Fijn hotel!
Pros:

Het is een fijn hotel, hele fijne locatie, fijn zwembad met leuke faciliteiten voor de kinderen. Wel zijn de kamers wat donker en missen we een nachtkastje of ander tafeltje aan beide kanten van het bed bij een queen. 1 nachtkastje voor 2 queen bedden is wat weinig. De zittjes savonds met het vuur zijn gezellig.

Cons:

De kamer (2 queen lagere etage), stond omschreven als 35 m2. Deze zou dus groter moeten zijn dan degene op de hogere verdiepingen van 28 m2. We kregen een kamer op de 5e etage deze was gelijk aan die op de 10 etage en hoger. Daar verbleven we namelijk vorig jaar. Daarnaast blijft het een zeer hoge kostenpost om te betalen voor parkeren, 40 dollar per nacht. In een land waar de meesten met auto's reizen, zeker bij rondreizen. Uiteraard wisten we dit bij het boeken, maar blijft het een hoog bedrag.

Functional, bed for the night, expensive.
Pros:

Parking, unloading, getting to my room, concierge was excellent, front desk same. Given that this was my most expensive stay at a hotel ever it's what I would have expected.

Cons:

The restaurant food was dreadful. The waiters were attentive to the point of obsequiousness. The food was mediocre and over priced. e.g quantity over quality the flatbread. My initial debacle with the AI booking system which tried to send me to a different hotel. The anonymous, soulless decor and the cost.

Another great Hyatt stay
Pros:

Staff was very friendly, food at the pool was great. The service from housekeeping was excellent and the overall look of the hotel was clean, and very pretty.

Nice room and great breakfast!
Pros:

Location was decent everything was 20-25 minutes away for us. The mall 5 mins away was really nice. Parking was easy in and out. The breakfast was really good, staff works really hard to get you your food quickly. Hotel room was clean. I would suggest a renovation for showers. Everything else was great!

Expected a bit more.
Pros:

The carpet was sticky (slippers would have been nice), and the sink bowl was damaged/scratched. The AC felt like it only cooled off to the desired temperature after at least one day of changing its setting.

It looked like a very nice hotel our particular room had some issues
Pros:

Seemed to have a lot of activity to be a part of, but we were only there one night, so we were limited on time

Cons:

Our room number had fallen off and was laying on the ground, the bathtub had the cheap bath mat and the temp in the shower was hard to figure out. Spending as much as we did for the night, it seemed like the room had some aging issues.

Modern, clean, great service, close to the beach
Pros:

Hyatt Regency La Jolla is conveniently located within minutes drive from the beach and famous sightseeing points such as La Jolla Cove. The staff were responsive and helpful. As Globalist members, we enjoyed complimentary breakfast which included a buffet or menu items, which were delicious. The room is spacious and the bathroom is up to date. There was a movie screening at the pool, unfortunately we weren't able to make it.
