Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine

Our first stay at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. We visit the San Diego area several times each year and usually stay at WOH properties.

Located near I-5 the property is easily accessible. Upon arrival, the valet parking team opened the door for my wife and then for me...we appreciated the formality.

The interior lobby was as impressive as the building exterior. Modern and classy with quality architectural finishes.

As a WOH Globalist we were gracious to receive and upgrade to a Studio Suite. The extra space in the room was very nice for our three night stay. The housekeeping staff did a good job with cleaning...before and during our stay.

The heated pool caught our attention but a busy schedule precluded much swimming time. The whirlpool/hot tub was very calming after our daily workouts. A hot tub is a rare treat that many hotels don't provide. The fitness center had treadmills, cardio bikes a few weight machines and dumbbells...plenty enough for us to get our daily workout.

Breakfast each morning was off the menu...buffet breakfast is on weekends. We ordered omelettes our way each morning with sides of sausage and bacon. The omelettes were stuffed with requested fillings and delicious. My wife commented that maybe the best omelette she'd ever eaten. The breakfast staff at SHOR was friendly and happy to serve.

We encountered a couple hiccups but very small and nothing that negatively impacted our stay. We definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine and look forward to a return visit.

Dated, dirty, needs to be renovated. Needs lots of improvements. Carpet and bedsheets had stains, mold in shower. Limited supplies. Location is good for business meetings and conferences, but not for family vacation.

3rd time coming to Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine. RJ and Janine are AMAZING!!! They are Professional, friendly and make us feel like we are home everytime I come visit with my family! I can't wait to come back again!

Very nice place to stay! Facilities were very nice (Pool, Hot Tub, etc...). Staff was always friendly and the hotel was always clean.

Hyatt Regency La Jolla is an outstanding hotel which is located at a very convenient area in San Diego Awesome customer service.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just minutes from the UTC Mall and a great variety of restaurants and dining options. The convenience of having shopping and food so close by made the stay even better.

The staff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and truly welcoming throughout my visit. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Room was fine. Stayed on free night certificate so no resort fee and self parking fee waived was a good surprise. If you don’t want to pay for parking, there’s lots of free street parking in front and back of hotel and looks safe to park. Good location in La Jolla.

Stayed at the La Jolla Hyatt - check in was "fine." The receptionist was efficient but not friendly. But the worst part was No Hot Water - We flew in for a friend's wedding and were about to take showers and get dressed when we received an email that the hot water to the hotel was turned off due to an emergency repair. We called and asked when it would be restored but were told there was no timeline available. I asked if there was someplace else on the property where we could shower/change (such as the spa or gym) but I was not offered an alternative. My wife and I had no choice but to endure a cold shower and make the best of it. We were not offered an apology. or any discounts or refunds. However, it did make a great story at the wedding...

Excellent customer service, very clean and spacious rooms, good wifi, excellent bar and outdoor area for enjoying a drink with colleagues, a good market that has extensive hours, makes great coffee and is well stocked with snacks, etc.

Shower would leak water in the entry hall and closet. The shower door would not close. The for was fixed but water would still leak into hall. I almost fell because of the water. Changed rooms and the new room the water leak was improved but there was a smell coming from the HVAC system.
Parking ramp had an issue as well. I could not leave because room key would not open the arms. Had to go to the desk twice before the parking company opened the arms. This caused me to be late to the test lab where I was performing testing for my company.
