Hampton Inn Detroit Northville

We got ourselves into a predictament but as soon as we walked in the door at the Hampton Inn we knew we'd be taken care of...and by the best at their Front Desk...Antonio and Brett. We explained to Antonio our problem and that we had brought up this info online so he was quick to take care of our reservation! He gave us a room on the third floor at the back where it was quiet and every night of our 5 night stay we slept like there was no tomorrow! The room was beautifully appointed the bathroom lovely and clean and I adore the big pump bottles of body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel...not those little dinky bottles you usually find. Big fluffy towels, hand towel and face cloth. Coffee set up with go cups! One evening as we were departing we met Brett at the front desk and he was full of good ideas for dining out and we could ask him just about anything and he would know where it was located. The Free Breakfast they put on every day is just woderful! Muffins, bagels, meat, eggs, hard boiled eggs, and the waffles! The Cinammon waffle mix is superb and their warm syrup is the icing on top! There is coffee and tea and juices, yogurt...so much to choose from and you can eat all you want in the lovely little dining room. Everybody was having a great time every morning we went down! I will say that the carpet in the 1st floor hallway from the elevators to the front desk is pretty dirty but I have a feeling they'll be on top of that soon. Ample parking and a lovely outdoor swimming pool along with a fitness center! It was very helpful when we wished to print our boarding passes that it was taken care of right away when asked at the front desk. They have coffees and teas that you can make up and take with you in go cups along with a selection of Snacks and Cold drinks to go (which are individually priced.) We'll be back again and once more our huge thanks to Antonio for everything he did to make our stay the best! And don't forget Brett and all his help and friendly, professional attitude!

Room was fine walking to it however on filthy carpet and elevators however was grim. Would’ve walked out if we hadn’t prepaid. Unbelievable how bad.

This is my second stay within one year at this location and again it was excellent. I stayed three nights for work. The atmosphere was quiet even with being in a busy area. I stayed in a king with sofa bed room and had plenty of space. The bathrooms in this hotel are small and the sink area is small, but doable. The lobby and room were clean and I had no issues with noise. It is a good value.

We had five rooms for a graduation celebration. All rooms were clean and the lounge space was an excellent location for family game night and pizza party celebration.

Brett at the front desk went over and above to accommodate our needs when one of the rooms was no longer available on the same floor due to a previous occupant smoking in it. The hotel staff did a fantastic job of cleaning that room and removing the smoke smell so that in fact, we could have all of our five rooms on the same floor together.

Morning breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, but well organized and plentiful.

Location of this hotel is excellent as it was easy on and off the highway and close to amenities like Target, Meijer, Costco, Total Wine and more. I would definitely recommend staying here as an affordable option outside of Ann Arbor for University of Michigan graduation weekend. That being said it was very cost-effective because I booked the rooms 9 months in advance of the graduation weekend.
