Housekeeping missed a few things from the previous visitor. There was a water bottle left on the bathroom floor under the si k area and dust clump on the back of the toilet
Convenience to Horseneck Beach
Room was freezing when we got there (60) degrees
We worked with the Hampton Inn to organize a room block for our wedding. Despite being extremely busy during peak season and the World Cup, Donna Souza on the Sales team was absolutely phenomenal to make sure we held enough rooms for our guests. And, it was a reasonable and competitive rate. Highly recommend if you're getting married in the South Coast!
Rooms were comfortable
Can’t stand the disposable plates, cups and utensils for breakfast. It’s not that much work to put the plates etc in one of those smaller industrial dishwasher.
Easy to check in and check out, decent place to stay with a dog. Staff was very friendly.
The floors were so filthy that our feet were dirty just by walking across the room after taking a shower.
This is a Hampton Inn, but was unfortunately not up to a Hampton Inn standard. As a silver member I would always be offered water, but was not here. The rooms need some refreshing, you can tell they are older. So a little pricey for what you get. Breakfast on the last day there, they ran out of hot food. They were cooking more, but I ate cereal and a yogurt and by the time I was done there was still not hot food. Towels at the pool were not restocked so sometimes only a few left on the rack by the time we got there. Person at the front desk watching tic tocs or something, I don't care but the coffee which is supposed to be hot 24/7 was luke warm.. so not checked as it should be. I suppose every business is trying to save few bucks where they can. There is a Marriot Towne Place right next door.. looks newer may want to consider that one.
Overall our one night stay was very nice. Location was easy to find, right off the highway. Although small, the room was cleanly, bed comfortable and shower warm. The front desk was very helpful with suggestions for dining, etc. and the cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our only issue was with the breakfast area running out of food 1/2 hour+ before they were due to close for the day so I would suggest waking up early if you're hungry for breakfast!
Good location to get into Newport and not pay Newport prices. It was a typical Hampton Inn experience - nice rooms, nice bathroom, generic breakfast in the morning.
The breakfast was kind of hard to get - lots of people and it's not laid out well. All utensils and plates were next to the very busy waffle maker, making it hard to get to anything.
There was a woman in housekeeping, who is very courteous and helpful. She had very dark hair, tall and thin.
Parts of the lobby were very dirty the hard to reach corners were quite smelly
The facility is pretty old, fan is loud, room isn’t clean as well as hallway and elevator.
Great location and atmosphere. Great value breakfast and shuttle. Staff was extremely kind and helpful.
