It would appear that Shilo Inn in Idaho Falls is the chosen stopover enroute from High River Alberta to South of Bombay Beach. We were greeted with courtesy enjoyed a clean room and appeared next morning for breakfast. This was our second time at Shilo Inns and were greeted by Marla in the dining room. Of noted surprise she greeted my wife and I with" Merry Christmas, Sir, You are back for another bowl of porridge" What a memory and a gem of an employee who remembers my likes after a year had passed. Marla we will be back in January 2027 "Happy New Year"
Kitchen adequate, staff excellent and friendly
Very outdated back in the day this hotel was probably one of the best on this Blvd of hotels.Room was very dirty definitely a room they rent for pets as it was full of dog hair or cat.Sub par under cooked breakfast.
Room was clean and quiet
It took over 20 minutes for the check-in clerk to show up to check us in
The pictures on the. Site look nothing like what the place looks like. It's very run down, dirty, in bad need of updating. The mattress was as old and hard , I barely slept. I got up at 6:30 am to shower and the handle fell off the water valve and was shooting water everywhere. I ran down to the front desk and no one was around. So I went back to the room where I got my wife up and dressed. Packed our stuff and went back to the front desk, still no one around. I went to the dining room and a lady there went and found the front desk clerk. I told him what had happened and he said okay! I said we didn't get to shower , he said okay! So I left
The room was clean and spacious.
It felt as though the hotel was ready to close down. I guess too many hotels for such a small area.
The breakfast did surprise me. Ordered from a menu, not like best western. Food was good. Just sad it was so desolate.
Lovely place on the snake river.
The breakfast was as great as other reviews have mentioned. The room was spacios and clean.
Overall it was nice
We liked waterfront and access to the river walk. The breakfast was nothing to look forward to. We liked being on the second floor so we could open our door and have fresh air. The hotel is looking pretty run down/ not super clean
The pool and hot tub were clean and beautiful. The rest of the property was tired dated needs a major remodel. Unfortunately, the Bahr staff was poorly trained.A very nice person
Nice stop after a long day
The breakfast options are great! Fast better than most. The staff were also great. Friendly and welcoming. They made you feel at home.
Power didn’t work in first room. The staff told us to wait until it could be fixed (at 11pm) then later decided to give us another room that was the same style but a queen and not a king and told us to not sleep in one of the beds. Why??? The floor and shower was loaded with hair but we were so over it that we just left.
This is such a sad property. It has so much potential, but it is severely overdue for maintenance and updates.
Ownership should stay at their property and experience what they're charging the public for. I would estimate that there's been zero improvements made to this property in the past 20 years.
This was by far the nicest motel i stayed at. The front desk upgraded my room without me asking, to a river front view with a balcony! The front desk was wonderful to work with. The parking was abundant and easy for my big truck. It was right on the river with a beautiful view. The room was incredible: large, clean, comfortable. I will definitly stay there again if i pass through! Highly recommended.
It was fine
The main front light was out when we got there. That was nerve-racking. I believe it just needs a full-time maintenance person to keep up with the Lighting and at least pick up some of the trash around the parking lot.
