Cons:

This was my second time staying at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pomona, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience.

I checked in around 9:00 PM and was assigned Room 152. As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a strong cigarette-smoking odor throughout the room. To make matters worse, I found a large cockroach in the bathtub and food debris on the floor. There was also no hairdryer provided, and one of the beds made a loud squeaking noise.

I immediately contacted the front desk and requested to change rooms. I was told that the hotel was completely full. What was even more concerning was that there were no housekeeping staff available to clean the room or address these issues. The front-desk employee told me that she was the only employee working in the entire hotel and that the only option she could offer was to refund my money. She did not even offer an apology.

This situation was completely unacceptable. It was already after 9:30 PM, leaving me with essentially no reasonable option to find another hotel at that late hour. A hotel should be properly staffed and prepared to address basic guest needs, especially in the evening. Having no housekeeping staff available and apparently only one employee working in the entire hotel reflects extremely poor management and seriously inadequate staffing.

I am extremely disappointed with this stay. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this property. The cleanliness, housekeeping, management, and staffing all need significant improvement. After this experience, I will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

It was ok for just a bed to sleep in, but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
Pros:

Most of the staff were helpful. The location was convenient for my activities.

Cons:

Not laid out well for people who have mobility issues. Refrigerator was poor and room needed attention.

Unexpected remodeling
Pros:

The staff was very polite and understanding that my 3 night stay had changed to a One night stay due to their remodeling and the swimming pool being out of service. The room given was nice but the ac wasn't working and we were accommodated another room. My stay at La Quinta was for 3 nights while in Pomana and had my grandkids so no pool just wasn't acceptable. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was enjoyable.

Cons:

Not having the pool opened while under their remodeling. It wasn't noted and having grandkids with us for 3 days i felt not having a pool they were just going to spend their time indoors.

I will be back. Very nice property, overall.

Staff were very nice. Very clean.

Cons:

On the 3rd the water heater or broiler broke down and we only had cold water. We were given a choice to leave or stay. I chose to stay and that day I was given 50% off, which was nice. Things happen.

Unacceptable
Cons:

They called me the day of to cancel my reservation because they did not have any hot water. At almost 50 years old I have never heard of such a thing. I'm also dealing with breast cancer and going through chemotherapy, it was not a good situation for me to have to try and find a new hotel the day of when there was a huge event going on that weekend which made it very difficult

MOTEL 6 QUALITY :(
Pros:

I will start off with positive - staff was friendly & rooms were overall clean. The free Breakfast was ok.
But price I paid was totally not worth it. This is an old hotel. This is more of a Motel 6 feel - which is not what's advertised/pictures.
Rooms sheer curtain was ripped - iron was horrible leaking water. Hot water went out.
Pool was 1/2 closed - was told "Use at your own risk".
Lobby was completely shut down. They had a small side entrance to check in. They had nerve to charge $5 a day for parking.
Don't think I'd ever stay here again.
