Comfort, Location & Great Vibes

I’ve just returned from a trip to Barcelona, and I can honestly say I found a true home away from home at INNSiDE by Meliá Barcelona Apolo.

After spending a little over a week there, the experience truly exceeded all expectations. Starting with the location—it couldn’t be more convenient. The hotel is perfectly situated near all the lively spots that mattered to us, with easy access to buses, taxis, and a metro station literally right outside the door.

As for the stay itself, the rooms are beautifully designed—clean, modern, and pleasantly minimal. What stood out were the thoughtful little details throughout the space that make you pause and appreciate the care put into creating a comfortable environment.

When it comes to dining, we had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, with great attention given to different dietary needs and preferences. Dinner was equally impressive. As a group dining together daily, we were consistently pleased with both the quality and variety of the food served.

However, the true highlight of our stay was the people. The staff were, without a doubt, among the friendliest I’ve ever encountered—always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. A very special thank you to the team who welcomed us on our first day. The ladies in charge went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. They handled all our requests with care and showed incredible understanding toward the needs of our large group, especially with children and families.

It truly felt like being looked after by family—if not even better. This was my fourth time in Barcelona in two years, and without a doubt, this has been my best stay yet.

Great stay
Pros:

Suberb location by Paral-lel metro stop with great staff and amenities including free soft drinks minibar. Staff were very helpful including Sandra who helped us book a cable car trip and breakfast was extremely good value. Can be noisy at night as right by busy cross street but take ear plugs or ask for higher floor (we were on first floor).

Great hotel!
Pros:

Great hotel, and the location is perfect. We had a friendly welcome and the staff were really helpful. Great breakfast too! Our only issue was how hot the rooms were. We had an interconnecting room and they were both at 23 degrees the whole time making sleep almost impossible. Reception sent housekeeping up to put the AC on but this made no difference. Apart from that, everything was great.

Vier fantastische en comfortabele dagen gehad
Pros:

Hotel was keurig en netjes. Vriendelijk personeel en ook de locatie is perfect. Je stapt bijna direct de metro in en lopend ben je 15 minuten op de ramblas of het strand. Wij hadden een kamer aan de doorgaande weg, waardoor we (ondanks de goede isolatie) wel het verkeer konden horen. Heerlijk groot bed en ook de badkamer was perfect.

Cons:

Enige minpunt wat ik kan bedenken is dan het verkeer en dat er in de directe omgeving weinig leuke terrasjes zitten. Voor het laatste moet je dan even wandelen, maar dat is prima.

Excellent dinner - Amazing service
Pros:

We crossed over this hotel after a concert. We were served quickly excellent healthy food at a good price - but most importantly, served by an excellent waiter (I think called Fran. From Peru). This guy could give classes on how make a customer satisfied. Top level.
