Amazing hotel in Nob Hill. Quality of service is very good and atmosphere of rooms are
Pros:

Quality of service is very good and atmosphere in the room is really special with funny colours. Nob Hill is a good central place within SF for visiting. Cable car in front of the hotel. To get so much place in the room is quiet appreciated

Highly recommend the Huntington Hotel
Pros:

My wife and I go to San Francisco at least twice each year, and for the past few years we have been staying at the Huntington Hotel on Nob Hill. What a fine place this is! We look for a centrally located place in the city that is elegant, but not outrageously priced, with roomy suite or junior suite accommodations. The Huntington is a perfect match for us. In addition, it has the best bar in San Francisco as well as a fine restaurant. We have also enjoyed the excellent spa on some visits. The doorman always remembers us when we arrive back from an outing, and on our last visit the doorman remembered us even from previous stays. We had a trip planned for the end of May, 2020, but sadly we had to cancel due to the Corona virus. The concerts and museums we had planned to enjoy had cancelled their events and exhibitions. Although I had prepaid for our room I asked if I could be given a credit for a future stay. However, Brian went beyond my expectations and refunded all of my prepayment. What a fine hotel and considerate staff! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, well-run, and beautiful hotel for your next trip to the City by the Bay! Not worth the price
Pros:

I got 2 rooms for our wedding party so we'd be close to the venue.
The view is beautiful, but the hotel is old. The staff is nice but easily flustered. The suite we were given as a complimentary upgrade was nice, but the furniture was uncomfortable. There was mold on the ceiling of the shower in our regular room.
After they add the spa fee (even though it wasn't functional for the weekend), taxes, and valet fee - it cost basically the same as the Four Seasons.
It is Not the Four Seasons.
If I had to do it over, I'd stay at the Omni. Much more bang for your buck.

A wonderful stay
Pros:

The moment that our car pulled up to the hotel, we knew that we’d made the right choice to stay at the Huntington. The valet was informative, and his good natured warmth made us feel immediately welcome. Likewise with the porter when we were checking out. The rooms were well maintained, and we received an upgrade. The one disappointment was the gym facility, which was rather limited with one working machine. We’d definitely stay at this hotel again. A great location with amenities nearby.

My dad LOVED the Huntington and Big 4
Pros:

My dad (73) and his wife really enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. From him: Really comfortable room, great view, very clean. Staff very nice, James (valet) and Glenn (bell) were really fun guys to talk with. Big 4 ambiance special old world richness; food was high level also. Walking access to everything around Nob Hill. Pretty damn nice.

Nice to Be Back
Pros:

This was our first return in 22 years. One of us loved the interior decor & the other hated it. The AC did not get the room very cool. The staff were all great. The Big 4 is a terrific bar & restaurant.

Pros:

The view from our room was spectacular! Room was nicely decorated and large. The beds were super comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Big Four restaurant right there was very convenient and the food was 5 star! The location is perfect. Convenient to access everything. We did a walking tour and it was the perfect starting point. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again! The only disappointment was that the complimentary wifi we had with our package was weak and inconsistent. Otherwise, we loved our stay!

Safe neighborhood easy commute
Pros:

The hotel is located in the safe Nob hill neighborhood. The trolley is on the street. That makes it convenient but noisy at times. The staff was polite; but did not appear welcoming or genuinely friendly. They were formally nice. No complaints as such about the staff and no compliments. There is a good choice of restaurants when you go DOWN to the post st. However coming back the hill is STEEEEEEP.
The room was spacious with quality items. But could hear tram at night😔. Wifi is good. Overall decent place but expensive.

Great place to stay!
Pros:

This hotel is in a great location right across from the Fairmont and at the top of Nob Hill. There’s an amazing spa inside as well as a great bar! The room was very spacious and had a great view of the city. Comfortable bed as well! I would definitely stay again.

Pros:

The hotel itself was fantastic. Unfortunately, the pool was off limits, and the workout room was closed, requiring a trek down the block to a sister site to get in a workout.

Some caveats about that pool***
Pros:

This is a really great home base for a San Francisco visit. The cable car goes right past the front door, and takes you downtown to Market Street and the Ferry Building. There is a nice park right across the street, and the Fairmont Hotel's famous Tonga Room bar (worth visiting) is a block away.

The air conditioning was broken in the entire hotel during our stay. This wasn't a big deal for us, since the outdoor temps go down at night, but it might be worth asking about it when you book if you are someone who likes to manage the room temp with AC.

And the big caveat: the hotel's first two photos on this site are of a really nice-looking indoor pool. This was one of the reasons we booked it. But the pool isn't usable by any guests under 16. It is only usable from Fri-Sun if you book a spa treatment ($160 and up.) And during the week if you want to use the pool/whirlpool and are over 16, there is a $40 access fee. Just worth knowing before you book this hotel to use the pool...

The staff is really friendly and helpful. We booked a suite on the 8th floor and it was incredibly spacious, with great views. There is coffee and biscotti in the lobby every morning, and a bowl of fruit in the afternoon. We also had a rental car, and found free overnight parking spots in the neighborhood around the hotel pretty easily. Most of the spots allow you to park overnight for free, but you must move your car by 10 AM.
