The rooftop is probably the main reason to book Avani, and perhaps not the best one.
Pros:

The room was clean and serviced well every day, and most staff were very friendly. A special mention goes to the breakfast host, who is exceptionally welcoming and really can make your day.

Cons:

The electrical setup in the room is outdated and impractical. The bedside lights did not work, so only the main lighting could be used, and switching that off also cut power to the outlets next to the bed. I was advised to leave the circuit on and unscrew the bulbs. A senior staff member said someone would come to fix it, but nobody did. There is, of course, plenty to see in Namibia, but don’t expect a smart TV at Avani: no Netflix or other streaming services. The rooftop is beautiful, but service is consistently slow and not always welcoming. The same applies to the restaurant/bar downstairs, where service can also take a very long time. When my girlfriend wanted to take a few photos on the rooftop, she was asked for her room number to prove she was a hotel guest, which felt unnecessarily unfriendly. Breakfast is expensive for what is offered, with mediocre cappuccino, not as good as elsewhere in the hotel, and a very limited fruit selection. The direct Frankfurt flight arrives in Windhoek early in the morning and departs again later in the day, so early check-in and late check-out are useful. Avani charges NAD 550 for each. As a returning guest staying five nights with breakfast included, I found that rather steep for just a few extra hours.

Amazing stay with an ideal location!
Pros:

Our stay was simply fantastic, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to take care of us, giving us great tips, taxi recommendations, and places to visit. The team was truly amazing. The location is ideal, with direct access to a shopping mall, which is very convenient if you need to go to the supermarket or buy a hat for your safari. Furthermore, the rooftop with a DJ had a wonderful vibe and atmosphere, and I can only highly recommend it. To top it all off, the breakfast was absolutely to die for and truly extraordinary, and the rooms are both spacious and functional.

Cons:

The rooms are starting to show a bit of wear and tear and could use a small refresh, but apart from that, everything was perfect.

The check-in time must be changed to at least 12h00.
Pros:

Breakfast was scrumptious and mouth watering. The location of hotel is perfect, one can easily go strolling and loitering in the mall.

Cons:

I did not like the fact that i had to check in that late and still check-out that early.

Super Lage für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp. Frühstück ein Muss.

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Alles frisch und von super Qualität. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Cons:

Wir hatten ein Zimmer für zwei Erwachsene und ein Kind. Die beiden Betten sind für eine Person super komfortabel, für zwei Erwachsene aber zu eng.
