Very good location, right in Myeongdong with all the street shopping, restaurants and food push carts.

Cons:

Air con was set at a high temperature of 26 degrees making the room very hot even though its spring. Nothing much the staff can do about it given its central air con control. Staff recommended to open the windows for cool spring air to come in but it didn't work and the noise from the Myeongdong night market made it hard to sleep.

Excellent hotel in a great location with good service, clean and quiet rooms and good facilities.
Pros:

Excellent hotel. While an older building, the hotel is well-maintained. The room was comfortable and clean (we stayed in a larger corner suite located on a higher floor). Hotel location is excellent in the heart of Seoul in the bustling Myeongdong district. Staff were polite, helpful and professional. Room was quiet despite the location of the hotel in a busy bustling area. We look forward to returning to this hotel.

From the very second we arrived, everything was flawless. The service here isn't just professional; it is deeply warm, proactive, and genuinely caring. Traveling with a family (two adults and a 9-year-old child) can sometimes be stressful, but the staff here made us feel completely safe, welcomed, and valued. They anticipated our every need before we even had to ask—which stands out even more to me now after experiencing how difficult other hotels can be.
The rooms were pristine, incredibly comfortable, and beautifully designed. Every single detail, from the comfort of the beds to the impeccable amenities, was thought out to perfection. The breakfast was fantastic, the location is unbeatable, and the entire atmosphere feels like a luxurious, comforting sanctuary in the middle of the city.
Seoul became my absolute safe space, and a massive part of that is because of the incredible team at the Royal Hotel.

スタッフが親切。特にドアマンの方はタクシートラブルにも対応してくださり本当に感謝です。
フロントの方もレストランへの電話などリクエストも感じよく対応してくださり快適に滞在できました。

Cons:

リニューアルしてから部屋にテーブルがなくなってしまったのが残念。もしかすると今までより狭い部屋に泊まったのかな?

The Royal Hotel Seoul was in an excellent location, right in the heart of Myeongdong, making it very convenient for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were helpful.

On the downside, the hotel bar closed at 10:00 p.m., which limited evening options within the property, and there was only one restaurant available. Guests looking for a wider choice of dining and late-night facilities may find this somewhat restrictive.

Overall, the location was the hotel’s greatest strength, while the food and beverage offering could be improved.
