Pleasant stay in historic hotel with excellent location for tourists
Pros:

Very comfortable historic hotel and very good location to Capitol Hill. Walking distance to train station and Capital hill. There is also a convenient Irish pub with nice fare downstairs for meals and beers. Good coffee machines available 24/7 on second floor. Friendly and helpful staff on duty as well.

Cons:

Parking garage is close bye and just a block away and easy to find but please check how charges work as fees don’t work from when you enter. Charges quoted is only until 12 pm then the next day start. So a parking from 4pm to next day say 10 am can be charged as close to two days etc…

Great place to stay and we’d come again here !
Pros:

Great location, loved the Dubliner on the lobby floor for meals - enjoyed the view and the closeness of the Capitol
And also the beautiful Union Station! The room was clean and comfy and service was excellent. Loved the robe too!

Picaduras compatibles con chinches e inacción del personal

Nuestra experiencia en este hotel fue muy decepcionante y, sobre todo, preocupante desde el punto de vista de la higiene y la atención al cliente.

La primera mañana nos despertamos mi familia y yo con numerosas picaduras. Inicialmente pensamos que podrían ser mosquitos, aunque nuestra hija fue quien presentó la reacción más intensa. Tras pasar una segunda noche en la habitación, nos levantamos con muchísimas más picaduras, especialmente en piernas y brazos. La situación era tan evidente que realizamos una consulta médica por videollamada con nuestro seguro, y el médico nos confirmó que las lesiones eran compatibles con picaduras de chinches y que probablemente se habían producido mientras dormíamos en la cama.

Informamos a la recepción y solicitamos ayuda para resolver el problema. Sin embargo, no recibimos ninguna solución. Solo nos dieron una tarjeta para contactar con el Manager del Hotel mediante telf o email. Al parecer no había habitaciones disponibles, pero lo más grave no fue eso, sino la total falta de empatía y preocupación por parte del personal. Mostramos las numerosas picaduras que teníamos en las piernas y brazos, que nos provocaban una intensa picazón, y aun así nadie nos pidió disculpas, nadie mostró interés por investigar lo ocurrido y tampoco se nos ofreció ninguna compensación ni la posibilidad de cancelar la estancia para trasladarnos a otro alojamiento.

Debido a esta situación nos vimos obligados a permanecer una noche más en el hotel. Para intentar protegernos, cubrimos la cama con sábanas adicionales y toallas, evitamos arroparnos y tratamos de mantenernos lo más alejados posible del colchón, que además no disponía de funda protectora. Aun así, al despertar encontramos nuevas picaduras, aunque en menor cantidad que la noche anterior.

El hotel tiene moqueta y existe espacio libre bajo las puertas de las habitaciones, lo que podría facilitar el desplazamiento de estos insectos entre unas habitaciones y otras.

Great stay in central location
Pros:

Very close to station and very neat and clean. Perfect for touring the city. Dubliner was great for dinner and drinks after a long day out.

Cons:

It was very noisy from early in the morning.

Pros:

I love that it was cozy and very clean. You get water in your room and coffee on the 2nd floor. The hotel is also near Union station.
