The room was spacious and nicely designed. Staff was super nice and accommodating.
The rooms weren’t really noise proof (to the outside of the building and nearby rooms)
Super convenient to Union Station and Congress.
Not much lounge space in the lobby.
Loved the location. We had a corner room facing Union Station.
Ótima localização, muito confortável!
Great location - close to metro and walking distance to several restaurants, federal buildings, and tourist attractions.
The hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the Union Station. Its historical building is quite unique and beautiful and the restaurant on the ground floor serves delicious Irish cuisine.
The room was spacious and very cosy and the staffs were so friendly. I wish I could come back there again!
The beds were INCREDIBLY comfortable! Great bedding and pillows. The front desk staff was friendly. Food and service at the Dubliner were superb. One can hear the noise from the street fairly well but it was relatively quiet in the overnight hours. If one needed to sleep during the day, that could present a challenge.
We hosted a business group for a three day event and the folks at Phoenix Park Hotel made things easy, straightfoward, and worked with us when we needed to add people or extend some bookings last minute. We will be using this hotel in the future for sure.
stayed here for a night to do some touristy things in DC. Great location - mere minutes walking distance from train and subway station. Very nice staff - very accomodating. The room was a decent size with nice amenities; bed was comfy and room was clean. Coffee station available 24 hrs which had really delicious hot chocolate - perfect after trudging through the snow. The Dubliner pub/restaurant is on the first floor of this hotel which made grabbing a beer in the evening and breakfast in the morning super convenient. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
We loved the Phoenix Park! It was super convenient to be right across from the train station, walking distance to the National Mall, and facing the Postal Museum, which was the best museum we went to in DC. The staff was lovely, the room was comfortable, and guest lounge was exactly what we needed to work on the road.
Location is everything on a trip of any kind. This was for business, and one of my events was at Capital One Arena, Thursday evening Wizards game against the Bucks. 1/2 mile walk, straight shot. This took 10 minutes. Easy access to subway and buses, 1/3 mile to the Capital. Senate building is across the street. As for the room, it was super spacious, bed was comfortable, modern contemporary, updated bathroom, fridge, nice toiletry products, and decent towels. There is also a fresh robe. All-in-all, I am not sure that there is need to find another hotel when staying in DC in the future. The price is right and so is this hotel. Keep it up Phoenix Park.
Todo
The location was excellent. However, the room need more cleaning and hot and cold water was crazy. Sometimes it was only hot water and sometimes its only cold.
The additional fee of 32 USD even we are not using the facilities is crazy.
I had to stay at a hotel last-minute. The Phoenix Park was conveniently located mere blocks away from Union Station, which made it a go-to choice. I booked through a third-party platform, which assessed me a booking fee. Then, to add insult to injury, upon arriving late at night at the hotel, I found out that I was also being assessed a "facility fee" of $32.00. For what, I do not know. I argued, checked in, went to bed, woke up at 6am, checked out, and used none of the facilities. The hotel would not budge.
Though the location was great and the room was quite clean, I personally will not stay at this hotel again because I came away feeling scammed and taken advantage of. I can't stand these kinds of hidden fees.
Excellent employees. Front desk and greeter were attentive, helpful and kind. Given the location, compared to other hotel prices, this is very good. Great restaurant service but food was mediocre.
Conveniently located to Union Station.
It was fine. There was not a dresser and the clothes hanging area was very small.
