The breakfasts were delicious and nutritious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The location was very convenient. It was a great experience. I enjoyed it.

A little tricky with room air conditioning
It looks like you went through a Time Machine and you woke up in San Francisco 1965

Staff was extremely nice and friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Free breakfast was very basic but nice nonetheless. Location was INCREDIBLE -- super close to Japantown and lots of bus routes.
We didn't book a suite, and the room was tiiiiiny, especially for two people. While the historical feel is charming, the furniture does feel worn, dusty, unstable (lamps didn't work and kept tipping over), plus there was paint and wallpaper peeling. The key card stopped working and had to be reset everyday by the front desk. We were also promised a noon checkout and then pushed last minute to leave early.
The location was great, rooms were clean and breakfast was good.
The first room we had had a weird smell, they were able to change us to a different one, though.
Tv wasn’t smart so we weren’t able to connect to streaming services, and frequently lost signal so any available show was also disrupted.
I requested in advance if it was possible to have gluten free bread or other baked goods, which was denied. However they had naturally gluten free items available during breakfast like apples, yogurt and eggs.
It was beautiful. The staff was really helpful and they had free coffee and water. The location and facilities were good.

This has been our go-to in SF since our first stay there 3 years back. Always high quality. Well maintained, clean, great breakfast, excellent staff
I don't recall having this problem on prior stays but the WiFi was constantly weak, patchy, kept dropping out to the extent I had to use my phone hotspot. Have stayed in that room and others several times without noticing the issue, but needs improvement from current condition for sure
