Overall value and experience fell short of expectations for $400+ price point.
Pros:

We booked a last-minute stay at the Marriott City Centre in Toronto for a total of $480 for one night. While there were highlights regarding the room comfort, the overall value and experience fell short of expectations for that price point.

Arrival and Parking
The arrival process was frustrating. There were no clear directions on where to park or how to access the hotel upon arrival. We opted for the valet parking at $50, which is a significant cost. We also had a $75 food credit included in our booking.

The Room
The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and well-equipped with a microwave and a mini-fridge. One notable thing for travelers: there are no USB-C charging ports, so make sure to bring a wall adapter. They provide in-room bottled water, though be aware it is $2.50 per bottle.

The technology was modern, and the TV allows you to connect to your personal Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video accounts. Most importantly, the room climate was excellent. It was not stifling hot, which is rare for many hotels, and we were able to control the temperature to 18°C overnight. This made for an incredibly comfortable sleep.

Dining and Amenities
The dining experience was less impressive. There are limited food options available. Even with no events happening at the Rogers Centre, the restaurant environment was uncomfortable due to bright laser beams throughout the space.

Pricing for children is also high, with kids' meals at $15 for lunch and $19 for dinner. Cocktails and other drinks start at $15+.

The hotel could benefit from more onsite activities for children. The lounge did not feel kid-friendly, and we missed out on the pool entirely because we weren't told where it was located during check-in. Additionally, there is no direct PATH access from this location, which is something to keep in mind for winter travel or city exploring.

Summary
While the room was comfortable and the temperature control was perfect, the lack of direction, high costs, and limited family-friendly atmosphere mean we will likely not return. For $480 a night, we expected more seamless service and better value.

Great hotel for the price for downtown Toronto.
Pros:

From the valet parking to the check in and out and all the staff that we ran into were very friendly and professional. Nice large clean rooms. The only issue was the long walk to the pool area. Large pool with a working hot tub. Great location easy on and off the highway.

Pros:

Room was nice and clean

Cons:

Shower head was broken and spraying in multiple directions, small washroom accessories broken. Informed them at check out and didn’t get much of a response. I would stay again if these things were not broken. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the amenities

Pros:

We stayed for 1 night (August 18) to take our daughter to the CN tower (a lifelong dream of hers). After a LONG day of travel and elevator rides, we went to the Sportsnet Grill for supper. A few minutes after ordering, our daughter said her tummy didn't feel good. Our service, Janice, was EXCEPTIONAL! I took our daughter back up to our room, while my husband settled the bill and had our food packed up to go. Janice also sent up some ginger ale to help settle her tummy, and yoghurt to have something light on hand when she was feeling better. That might seem like a little thing, but after a busy day of travel with a neurospicy kiddo, those kinds of gestures make all the difference in the world! So a big big shout out to Janice! What a gem.

The next morning, our server was Eric! We had no sick tummies to contend with. Eric was extremely pleasant and very attentive while we were having breakfast. My running joke when I order coffee is to bring it in the largest cup they've got available. Eric explained all the mugs are the same size, but arrived with a small pot for the table, so I could keep the refills going. Keeping a tired Mama caffeinated? Eric understood the assignment!

Cons:

I truly can't think of anything that didn't meet our expectations.

Clean quiet friendly
Pros:

Best thing was the Sportsnet grill for breakfast. Overlooking the blue jays stadium it was very unique. And that it was open for later on drinks.

Great location but missed the mark for the price paid
Pros:

The beds was very comfortable, the pool was open late and it was a great location. The ice water in the lobby was a nice touch after a very hot day.

Cons:

We requested a crib multiple times and still did not receive one. Gave up after the fourth request. There were no hotel towels available at the pool area. The wifi password was nowhere to be found in the room nor on the keycard holder. Starbucks within the lobby closed surprisingly early.
