The hotel is currently undergoing guest rooms renovations of all rooms, being done in phases.
The works started on March 18th, 2025 between 10am to 4pm everyday and some rooms have since been closed to facilitate the renovation.
Our contractor is expected to complete the renovations within a period of one year. All other facilities within the hotel are operational and guests can continue to enjoy our various services and their stay with us.
Please assist to have this notice on the fine print for your guests to be aware.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

It is always such a great experience to stay at the Serena Dar es Salaam. From the brilliant gentleman at the shoe shine station, the reception staff, the door staff, pianist, butler's and especially the night manager and all service staff they are always available, friendly and more than willing to assist. My husband is disabled and in a mobility scooter, and all the staff knows us by Surname. We are privileged and thankful for the staff members at the hotel. You make our stay memorable. Over 20’years I have been coming to this hotel. It’s comfortable and staff are great
Food was sub standard for what you were paying for and quality has definitely gone down hill
I loved the room, the staff wow they were amazing, the food was excellent. The environment is serene actually that's home away from home.
My bath tab wasn't cleaned i was staying for 2 nights. My face towel was taken and not replaced for my second night. The Internet yeah that as well. Communication was a bit a challenge with people back home because of this.
