5 stars if not for disappointing food & beverage

I spend 100+ nights per year in just Hilton brands.
The remodel of the hotel is impressive and beautiful.

Really excellent experience with property, room and all staff we engaged with; the exception being food & beverage.

On site restaurant with very limited options and obscenely expensive for even a hotel. Staff not attentive and didn't seem familiar with the menu or how things were prepared? Breakfast was so disappointing/expensive; we just went across to the Hyatt for the rest of our stay.

Lobby bar was never busy but again a disappointing experience. Bartenders not attentive and only friendly to the opposite sex they were interested in...

Gaby and Sam saved our trip!
Pros:

We had such a wonderful experience at the Hilton Capitol Hill. After a terrible situation at another hotel, we arrived feeling completely overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. The staff here immediately stepped in and took care of us.

They were able to find us a room for one night, and then went above and beyond by checking cancellations and securing us an additional night so we didn’t have to move again. That level of care and effort meant so much to our family.

Gaby at the front desk was truly amazing. She did everything she could to make sure we felt safe, comfortable, and taken care of during a really stressful time. Her kindness and professionalism stood out in every interaction.

Sam, the bellhop, was an absolute angel. I came in very flustered, and both Gaby and Sam were so calm, patient, and helpful. They made a difficult situation so much easier for us.

The hotel itself is clean, beautiful, and welcoming, but it’s the people who really make it special. We are so grateful for the care we received and would absolutely stay here again.
